This light is as described, my first time purchasing this brand. The first one I bought was not this brand and only lasted 10 months.

This DJ laser light is great for kids. The app control and music sync features make it easy to use. My daughter had her friends over for a sleepover and they had a lot of fun with it.

It's got DMX control, or app control. The app takes a bit to figure out. I can draw something and send it in about 20 seconds to the laser. It uses bluetooth. There is text option with about 4 fonts. The first font is higher speed, single line. The other fonts are outlines, and slower drawing speed. The free form drawing section has an 800 point limit, so use the shapes more than the free pencil if you can. The more points the slower the laser, making that flashing strobe I try to avoid. In the app, I can make several text lines, and set how many seconds before going to the next one and cycle through. If you want to write out song lyrics for karaoke I suppose. Or maybe just chorus sing along section for the audience. The app has distance and size options, which my other lasers don't have. This is really convenient, not having to worry how far away it needs to be. In the app, adjust the distance and size, and speed of an animation. The best part is this has RGB lasers to make white and a few secondary colors like purple, cyan and yellow. There is no remote, must use either DMX or the app. There are animations built in that are cool, but the app appears to lack any way to make a custom animation, or be able to download like an animated gif line drawing. There is a way to take a picture with the camera, and then recognize lines. I'd suggest either finding line drawings on the internet, or using a pen on white paper to get the best results. While it can recognize anything, there is an 800 point limit, which everything seems to go over. The app could improve the point consolidation better.

it's really not professional grade as one can expect at that price point. Also, as expected, the green laser is fairly bright but the red and blue are not so much. Would have loved to find a manual in the box with the DMX codes. Asked the question on Amazon and seller responded quickly to contact them on Amazon for a digital version of the manual since I could not find one on the internet. But I could not find a way to contact them on Amazon. Will probably send it back because it's useless for me without DMX

I own numerous laser projectors and while they're all pretty cool this one is by far my favorite because it allows for custom messages and designa.Out of the box, I did have some minor issues getting my phone to connect to this laser projector via bluetooth. Thankfully though, after a few minutes it finally saw it and I haven't had any connection issues since.By far the coolest element of this is the ability to control it and customize it using the mobile app. Everything from custom text messages that scroll or remain static to custom images that can be produced either manually or by using my phone camera make this very unique. The app itself is fairly easy to operate after some trial and error, although I did notice some words on the app were mispelled (still easy to understand though). This laser projector will be perfect for my kids' parties, sporting events, or just regular parties in general. This also has various modes like Christmas themes, outdoor themes, and once again all of these work flawlessly when they are used inconjunction with music (you'll use your own music). All in all, really cool laser projector with endless possibilities in terms of how this can be used. The price is a bit more than the standard laser projectors; however, given the ease of use, simple setup and customization it's totally worth it!I do wish this had some kind of threads on the base of this though because it would be great to mount this to a tripod. Nonetheless, it can still be mounted to a truss system or lighting rack using the included bracket so not really a deal breaker, I love this!Last note, you'll definitely want to never look directly into this device or set it up in a position where the laser could hit someones eyes as they could cause serious injury.

The laser it self is nice and fun to use at event. The app has a lot of features, but is far from polished. For example it shows “test.com” and has a bunch of Chinese characters despite being set to English. There is also no documentation on the DMX interface. No details how many channels it uses nor how it uses them. The colors are great and it is fun to make my own designs. It is super bright. Overall it’s nice, but not polished nor well documented. If documentation improved it could easily be 4 stars and if the app polished, it could improve to a 5 star produce, but without those, the best it will be is 3.
