This roller set works well on smooth walls and y a good smooth coverage. They’re easy to use and the paint tray wasn’t too thin and kept still while holding the paint. This was a good kit for its value!

In my opinion, this is a great set for repair-reluctant homeowners who need to paint one room and have no existing supplies or for a volunteer committee helping with a refurb, as it mostly is a complete set to do a basic paint job. It would also be good for applying more destructive, adhesive-based coatings where you dispose of the tools afterwards. And the price is such, that even if you never use it again, you still come out on top.However, this is by no means a professional painting set and even moderately experienced painters will probably be frustrated by it.On the plus side, it is fairly complete, the roller covers are versatile for most paints and surfaces, and the two sizes of rollers is a bonus. On the negative, there’s no trim brush, the roller handle is not threaded for a secure fit on an extension handle, and the 4” roller is prone to stick.I might be a bit generous on the rating here, but I think there is a need for low-cost kits like this as long as you know what you are getting in to, and you have the right application.

I wrapped the roller cover in tape to pull off excess lint, and this didn't shed much lint since the tape stayed pretty clean. The big handle is more ergonomic than the small one which also has some sharp edges. The included rollers fit snugly on both types of handle so they don't slide sideways during use. These even hold more paint than the budget style I usually buy in chain stores. I'd have preferred the large handle to be threaded to fit extension handles, and didn't care for one pair of disposable gloves being counted as an item in the kit description. But it's an overall good starter kit with rollers that can stand up to a few days of use (I wrap them in airtight plastic and leave them in the freezer when I'll just be using the same product again the next time, and it's much faster and neater than cleaning them every time.)

This paint roller kit really helped me to beautify my home. I have used it to paint walls of sheetrock, plaster, concrete, wood paneling, and textured paint. The finish was so smooth and even. I'm very satisfied with this order and definitely recommend this paint roller kit.
