Best magnets for the money. Very effective for holding a tarp around the coop to block wind. Very easy to assemble and use. Size is good and holds to metal great.

been using these for a few years and they still surprise me. strong, durable, used these for many tasks, salt and fresh water retrieval, temp and permanent loop for hanging things. Probably only needed 3 or 4 but nice to have when a magnet with a loop is needed

It never occurred to me that 100 lbs was so immoveable. I just wanted a strong magnet. I tested this out on my fridge and couldn't get it off. I scratched my door because i had to drag it across the surface to get it off. I have no doubt it will easily hold the weight, but don't put it on anything until you are absolutely sure where you want it. I will never buy this again, although I might use one of the weaker ones.

I don’t have anyway to test the “60 lbs” claim but I can say just on my refrigerator door these are really strong magnets. One thing they don’t tell you is “some assembly required” it comes it pieces you have to screw-in the ring handle yourself.Hint: use loctite (or glue) on the screw threads, so it doesn’t spin free and release later.

A very good value for so many pieces that fit the bill at this price point. Will hold a pad of paper 10 pages deep on the refrigerator !

I hate wimpy fridge magnets and bought some larger rare earth magnets. They were great, but maybe TOO strong. These are a good middle ground, not so strong that I have trouble removing them from the fridge but strong enough they will hold up anything reasonable. The little loops give you some needed leverage when trying to pull them off your fridge. :)I have also used these for stud finding in my walls. Hang them 6-8 inches from a string and move them along your wall as close as you can, and they will stick to/move towards nails in your studs. I found this technique worked much better than any stud finder I tried to use.

I bought these to assist in making a temporary shelter over the rear hatch of my car. These hold the tarp against my car and a couple of poles and tent lines create a wonderful shelter that's secure!

Wow. These little guys are strong and I really appreciate the little screw on thing that allows you to remove them easily. While i was opening them four of them attached themselves to each other and I had a heck of a time getting them apart because I hadn't yet put on their little handle things. Highly recommend if you need a nice sturdy magnet for random things. I'm using them in my office on a metal shelving unit to hang some things and I'm very pleased. Would definitely buy again.

Bought these to hold up a tarp (a DIY draft skirt for my caravan) and think they'll do the job quite nicely. It's a Yes from me :)

I bought these specifically to keep a car cover from blowing away in high winds. I had worked with earth magnets before while covering my BBQ, but to be honest I feared them. You do not want your fingers getting caught between to of these bad daddies trying to meet. These come with a handle of sorts, which I really like. One of them didn't screw on right so I ended up with 5 for my car. They are strong, but not as strong as the other ones I had. What you need to do, if you use them on things you do not want to scratch, is put some pads on them. Think thin pads that might keep your hardwood floors from scratching on the bottom of kitchen chairs. I happened to have some black rubberized ones around the house and they were absolutely perfect to put on the base of these magnets. It cuts down on some of the magnetic effect of course, but not nearly enough to render them ineffective. I put a pad on each magnets and try to keep them away from each other for the most part. They are tiny, think 2-3 quarters stacked with a small handle, but they were a FANTASTIC solution to my issue with the padding added. That tarp/car cover is going nowhere, even in 50-60 MPH winds, and it won't scratch the car when I pull them off by the handle because of the pads. I'd buy these again in two seconds flat, but remember what I told you about adding little pads to them. They WILL scratch BBQs and car paint even with a tarp or thin cover between your item and the magnet because they sometimes have to get dragged off the surface. They are strong, but not too strong to work with. Handle with care and good luck.
