I bought this for attaching fittings to the outlet of a iIBC tote. The tote has fine threads but they do not seal tight enough for them to stop a small leak. I rely on this water because I live off grid and I can’t have it on the ground. This Teflon tape was easy to use and resolved the issue with 3 wraps. I have used this type of tape on and off all my life and this is of the same quality that you get from Lowe’s. I would not hesitate to buy this again. The price was right to. It seems like you can get better prices on Amazon then just about anywhere right now so I’m always happy to save a few dollars.

It works. It's cheap and it does the job right. For the majority of non-plumbers out there, you will probably buy this for an odd job and have the tape in your tool-kit for the rest of your life. This stuff is super-thin and does the job of making threads leak-proof.When installing a new fixture, make sure the read the instruction manual to see how many layers they recommend. In this case, more isn't always better, from what I've seen, wrapping it 2 or 3 times are usually the best. One tip is to apply the tape in the same directions as the threads, which makes sure the tape makes a good seal when the connection gets tightened. You'll know if you did it the wrong way as the tape will start to bunch up, but don't worry, you'll have plenty extra!

I know all the tape you get should be to the same Mil-Spec standard, but this stuff does stand out. I work in a lab, and so a majority of what I work with are brass and stainless steel fittings, normally on NPT fitting smaller than a half inch, and with those kinds of fittings, the quality of tape makes a real difference. Top it off with the great price. Stuff's unbeatable
