Box was not sealed when received, so maybe I received one that someone ordered and wasn't right for their vehicle. I would appreciate Amazon sealing the box with tape to insure nothing gets lost in transport. I realize this has nothing to do with the quality of the product, but thought I would mention this for Amazon to review. Everything included is inside and the quality appears excellent. If product doesn't meet expectations after installation, I will update this review. 5 Stars so far!

Should correct the cold and wet season hard starts or no start.

This solved my problem with my 98 Chevy Express van. I had been struggling with a crank/no start problem for over a year. Seemed it was always worse during wet weather and sometimes I was stranded for up to 5 days! Finally came to the conclusion that there was condensation in my distributor cap. Replaced with this cap and rotor and sealed with dielectric grease and silicone at the seam. Cranks like a champ now even in a storm. I could see a big difference in the quality between these parts and the ones I was replacing.

Seems equivalent to OEM quality. It’s been installed for around 6 months now with no issues!

When first installed had to wiggle it and put some pressure on it for it to fit properly. After it was on it worked as it should. Seems sturdy.

Like I said great product five stars all the connections are brass quality made. The only issue is you MUST use your original screws. My distributor was plastic which are course thread screws I wasn't paying attention and put in their screws which was a little bit bigger diameter and fine thread. Unfortunately I busted my distributor Anchor point resulting in me having to buy a brand new distributor.

I re-used the original cap screws. They look more like wood screws than machine screws supplied with the cap. That may have just been my application, so compare the old screws with the new screws. Just rotate them slowly backwards(ccw) until they drop just a bit into the previously cut threads before turning clockwise. That way you won't be cutting new threads into old brittle plastic that may break. The cap itself looked much better than the one I removed with corroded aluminum terminals. Also the cap has the plug wire locations easy to read to avoid miswiring. My truck ran noticeably smoother, but I can't say that it was only due to the new cap as I had replaced the plugs and wires at the same time, but I am satisfied that the cap is a quality component.

I liked everything about it, especially the price. Local NAPA store, wanted 84 dollars, just for the cap, no rotor. Someone called the next day and said that I could have it for 74 dollars. I would have spent a small fortune, just on the sales tax! This cap made the big Suburban idle like a dream. So odd, it seemed like it shifted, noticeably crisper, on 25 and 35 mile an hour streets. My 1998 Vortek engine, eats ignition rotors. I went ahead and replaced the cap, while I was working on it. Please note. Previous owner had a wood screwat the front of distributor cap, and a torx machine screw, at the rear. I could not see the rear screw. I used a silicon ear plug, to make an impression of that rear screw. It was a small, 6 sided allen wrench. But that did not work. A torx driver worked perfectly. This cap comes with machine screws, but of course I used that same wood screw where it had been needed. This cap turned a rough idle, into a perfectly smooth idle. 190K miles on that 1998 wagon. Always breezes thru smog checks. The Bravex rotor, also had a brass conductor.

99 Chevy suburban was surging and running really rough at idle and when driving. Replaced plugs and wires and nothing really changed. Bought this distributor cap and rotor kit. Removed old one from vehicle Installed this new one and vehicle is running better than it ever did. Highly recommend this product and much cheaper than local parts store.
