Pretty happy with this inexpensive and pretty accurate counter. I used it on a pickup winder, using a hall effect sensor not original to this device. It took the signal from my standard hall effect sensor with no complaints and works perfectly and accurately. I double checked accuracy using a stepper motor and running 10,000 rounds. It was off by 2 winds in 10,000 according to the stepper motor count. That is pretty accurate, and it is possible that I might have manually double-triggered one of those over-counts by physically moving the sensor too near the magnetic area when it was stopped. Mine does seem to increment one count when being repowered, so each power cycle adds one "spurious count", on my setup at least. This is very minor for most applications.Anyway, a good counter. Available in a variety of operating voltages. The display is nice and bright, and the price is right. Much better than the mechanical counter it replaced, rock solid counter display, wide tolerance for various hall sensors, etc.
