I got this digital pressure gauge to check and equalize tire pressures as the seasons change and the weather gets cooler. It is relatively easy to use,the valve rotates to allow viewing the screen from different positions. The gauge is backlit making it easy to read. It provides consistent reading that are accurate within about half a PSI. The gauge has a large rubber housing cover to prevent damage if dropped. You do have to release the pressure using the valve between readings and it does not seem to have an auto off time built in so, you need to turn it off after it is used which is the only real negative I have noticed. Recommended.

Overall, this inexpensive digital tire pressure gauge is surprisingly well-made for the price. The Schrader valve fitting is all brass and it can swivel, so you can get it to different angles, which is very handy for some car tires. They valve stems never seem to line up where it's handy, right? So I'm very happy to see that.Better yet, the gauge will hold the reading until you press the bleed valve, so no matter what awkward angle your tire valve stem ends up at, you can just remove the gauge and read the pressure easily. Excellent! The display is easy to read, and the gauge runs on the very, very common AAA batteries, and they will probably last a long time.My only quibble is the accuracy. The description claims it is +/- 1%. I tested this against 2 different trusted and verified pressure gauges I already own, and this one consistently reads about 1 PSI LOW in the 30-35 PSI range. That works out to roughly a -3% error. Or 3 times less accurate than claimed.I don't want to make a big deal out of it, since I'll bet 95% of consumer grade pressure gauges are as bad or worse than this. However, practically speaking, it really doesn't make much difference, since we're dealing with typical passenger car tires here -- not a Formula 1 car or a a fighter jet tires. 1 PSI is not going to have any noticeable effect on anything for your Camry, or whatever you're driving. Plus you are presumably using the same gauge on all 4 tires anyway, so they'll all be consistently 1 PSI low. Big deal! I don't have a problem with it.Hey, for $20, this is a well-made gauge. As long as it's in the ballpark, I say it's good enough. Most people don't even check their tire pressure.Honestly, I think the real accuracy of this gauge is actually pretty good compared to what's out there. I'd take the 1% accuracy claim with a real grain of salt. I'm a journeyman industrial instrument mechanic and I know what I'm talking about when it comes to pressure gauges. For car tires you don't need aerospace industry accuracy. As long as it's consistent and you actually check your tire pressure once in a while, you're ahead of probably most people out on the road.Summary: Good gauge. Good price. Accurate enough.

This is a cool looking tire gage that feels good in your hand. It worked great for about a week and then it stopped holding the psi measurement. It's like the release button on the right side was faulty, so I just threw it away. If you get one that works, it'll make an awesome gage.

I was looking for a reliable gauge to give my kids. I bought four Gerchway gauges and took them to my lab at work where I have a traceable gauge accurate to 0.03%. At 36 psi, the gauge errors were 0.3, 0.2, 0.0 and 0.0 psi, meeting the claimed accuracy spec of 1%. Not only were the gauges accurate, they were easier to use than any other gauge I have tried in the past 50 years. And, the gauges held pressure after a reading was taken. Nowhere does it say where Gerchway gauges are made, but I would bet they're not made in China. They are made in China!!!.
