It will give different numbers on the same spot and/or it won't update the reading until you scan the air and then scan the skin. No amount of cleaning the lense, changing the batteries, or leaving the batteries out so it resets has made it better. The in ear tip and the surface tip have the above problems and they don't agree with each other. I have three kids and have had this for six months. I have tried it a lot and am now giving up on it.

Although there are so many option to buy the digital thermometer, i was looking for something that would be easy to use and dont need an expert to operate. This thermometer does the job what I was looking for. Its bright display is good for elders to read the temperature without any strain on eyes. I like that its has the option to measure the object temperature. I never got a chance to use the ear piece though. I would recommend to go for this

Does not give accurate temp. Read 98.2 forehead and ear the same. Used a digital oral my child had a temp of 101.5Edit: the company reached out and they are replacing the thermometer. Not many companies are like this. I appreciate all that they did to help me. Great customer service and support.

This is a great thermometer for keeping track of fevers or lack there of!! It's extremely accurate and it's very easy to navigate with easy to understand instructions! It's a must have!

Being a mom of two little ones that don’t sit still longer than a few seconds, this is perfect! As soon as you hit the button to get the temperature, you get results. It’s not like the ones you have to drag across the forehead or hold in one place until it beeps
