My unit does not ever show a reading. It powers on, you can push the buttons, but it will not show a speed value. No matter what I do - it always shows "0" for the reading. Unfortunately I waited until past the return to test it out.

Bought two and they both freeze up. Have to take out batteries in order for them to shut off.
