This meter is pretty accurate. I actually have several of these testers. I use these all the time, so I measured them against themselves and the one I know to be very close to perfectly accurate. In the picture I submitted you can see the different PH meters that I am testing, with the verified accurate one on the very far left. This test was done after I went through calibrating this meter for PH, according to the instructions. The instructions are easy to understand & precise for how to calibrate, care for, and use the tester. I recommend adding KCL solution to the cap for storing after use. This will keep the probe from drying out & help keep it working longer & to maintain the calibration for longer. The probe is what needs to be in the solution, so deep enough to cover that, but not so deep it pours out of the cap when you put the tester back in it. I have done that more than once…. I only tested the PH accuracy because that’s my true use for it, but in my experience the EC, TDS & temp are in line with the same level of accuracy for each tester.

I recently fell down a rabbit hole after a rando in the soap aisle casually says, "you know heavy ions in the bath water is how people get psoriasis!" You know, one of those statements you know in your gut is complete nonsense, but because they say it with such conviction, now you have to look it up?? Yea, so that scholastic journey I had - made me curious to see how my house's water "looked." It was built in the 40's & I don't remember when buying it years ago, if the piping is still original or what. I spent an embarrassingly long time testing alllll the taps. And fridge filter. Then again a few days later, after installing filters for the shower & kitchen sink.In the end, I found the tester was consistent & reliable during the 1st testing round because I did random re-dips after & all were still spot on with their original results. And in testing the filtered waters, they all *were* better than before-filter results. That proved the water tester was calibrated correctly & accurate in assessments. Altogether exactly what you want when needing answers, especially when it's something as important as water!

This is a nice little meter. This is a combination pH and TDS meter. It measures temperature too, but we don’t use it. It’s a good value. There’s a whole class of these meters that are either identical, or functionally identical (including buttons and calibrations, etc.) but packaged differently. These gauges all seem to come out of the box well calibrated (or well enough for us). We check them against a calibrated meter. We’re looking for +/- 0.1 pH, and +/-10% on PPM. We’ve bought a lot of these meters, and except for a broken one, we’ve never had one that wasn’t within that spec.If you keep the glass bulb wet (put the cover on it when it’s wet and it will stay wet) the pH will be acceptable. If you let it dry out, you’ll need to recalibrate it. Follow the instructions. You’ll need to mix pH powders with distilled or RO water to make the calibration test solutions. The TDS(PPM) solution is premixed - make sure you keep the lid on TIGHT. If it dries out at all it won’t be valid anymore. We build grow rooms, and every one includes a meter like this. It’s a good value. The build quality is good. It is totally waterproof. It includes the necessary test and calibration solutions and mixes. It includes the batteries. It comes in a box that is sort of a case you can keep all the stuff in. The instructions are pretty good, and they’re on a laminated sheet that won’t get soaked in a wet grow room. It comes out of the box calibrated (we test every one we buy). This gets 5 Stars

I purchased a small hydroponic system to grow some leafy greens and herbs this winter and needed a way to test my water. It's a bit confusing for me, but the instructions provided help and define the process. It functions well, as I have no way to test it's accuracy I cannot speak to that but believe it is a good choice and it will help ensure my hydroponic system runs well and provides plenty of money saving veggies😊.

Had a much more expensive meter that quit working on me. Bought this one and works as good as the meters going for $100+. I really only care about PH/TDS and temp and this one displays them all. I verify accuracy from time to time and it holds calibration for a while. I calibrate monthly (2 point) and this seems to be more than enough. Great meter, hope it lasts
