I ordered the Aiomest to check the timing on an older vehicle and it does the job. Easy to use: hold “x” to zero meter, “M” to change between rpm/hz, then adjust the dial until the rotation looks at a standstill. I can’t comment how accurate it is, but for my application it works fine. The construction is all plastic and feels and looks like more of a toy than tool. I have not dropped it yet, so can speak to durability, but suspect it won’t hold up to professional use. It comes nicely packaged in foam/cardboard but it would be nice if it came with a carrying case to keep it protected. This is well priced for a budget stroboscope and is geared towards home use.

Purchased for work, stopped working at 6 months. No drops, no damage, just quit working. Lights will not turn on, nothing. Waste of money.

Upon arrival the rotary dial would not turn. I contacted the company and instantly got the run around: "tells more so we can understand", "send us pictures", "give us more information". I needed to get a job done so I explored. Turns out there is a manufacturing flaw. The grey plastic dial is pressed onto the stem of an internal potentiometer. Problem is that the stem does not bottom out correctly and does not hold the dial off of the orange housing. Instead the outer diameter of plastic dial contacts against the orange housing. Plastic against plastic prevents the dial from turning. I took the dial off and put some cardboard in the stem recess so the potentiometer stem would bottom out hold the dial off of the housing. Shame I had to do this fix. But had to get a job done and the company was clearly going to run me around and avoid honoring their replacement policy. Just know this before you order one.

double the measurement speed, looks the same. 240 rpm vs 480 vs 960... tough to know true speed

Manual said to not overcharge, but new automatic charging circuit can be left plugged in indefinitely. If using a good USB charger 2 amp. When batteries are charged, there is zero power consumption! This is a great item for using for a stroboscope or tachometer. Very accurate and stable flash rate. Can not beat it for the price! It's a bargain!
