The quality and features are much better than other almost identical looking indicators. The photo shows Clockwise Tools on the left and Neoteck on the right. The spindle anti-rotation plate is brass vs of plastic, the stem is 3/8 diameter vs 8mm, the tips threads are 4-48 vs 2.5mm, the top tip has an o-ring shock absorber vs one without, the battery is a CR2032 vs a smaller LR44, comes with a cert showing actual up and down deviations vs a non-deviation indicating cert, and the data output port is micro USB vs some funky special contact although both still require a communication adapter. Most important is that Clockwise Tools brand, whether purchased as the auto or manual off model, ½ inch or 1 inch stroke, will remember the previously zeroed position where as the others don’t.
