Although this fish scale does seem to work, it's not nearly as easy to use as others I've used. If you're not staring at the number before your object/fish moves, you won't be able to see it since it doesn't record it.The fish gripper is actually pretty good but it's easy to get your finger clamped.

I wanted to get a fish lip gripper due to the larger fish I catch here in the PNW. Some have pretty good size teeth, that I'd rather not have cutting up my fingers. I got this hoping it would be what I needed. I am used to using your normal, stainless lip grippers that my fishing buddies use. When I got the package, I thought that there must have been a mistake. There is no way a scale and fish holder could fit in that tiny box. Boy, was I wrong. The box and packaging feels like it was shipped direct from a Dollar Store from somewhere in China. The lip gripper is small. Really small. It tightens up just fine, but is sized for freshwater trout, or Crappies, not the large Salmon and smallish sharks that I am catching. The scale is flimsy plastic, and takes two AAA batteries that at not included. The On/Off works, as well as the Tare and Unit (Kg or lbs). I don't expect this to last too long, especially in a saltwater environment. The additional information provided on the box: super screening description. Designing smart by personal characterize. Bigger volume and higher precision. Very cabinet and being suitable to carry it. So yeah, it has all that going for it. If you need a small scale for freshwater fish that is relatively inexpensive, give it a try, but if you are looking for anything of quality, keep looking. Three star because it does what it says. It will hold a fish, and it will weigh it.
