Finally, i received one that powers up and works. i had ordered one, it would not power up. It cost me more to return the one that did not work than the answering machine itself cost (travel expense to nearest UPS). I don't know what claims the advertisement makes about the answering machine, we purchased it to have a back up to the same model as the one we have. these land line items are getting harder to come by. given the power surges we have had over the years, we are trying to be prepared. example, i woke one morning not long ago, i think we have seven surge protector strips, they were all tripped.

This is a basic answering machine with some additional features that are easy to program.The quality of the outgoing message recording is average, even after doing it a number times. You can use the automated outgoing message instead.

I purchased this machine on January 7, 2024. It worked great until July 10. Now it is locked up and will not play messages, even after unplugging it and plugging it back in.

Turning it on for the first time led me through the steps to configure the device. It was pretty intuitive and can be done without knowing the detailed instructions in the manual.

Not compatible with UK Phone systems. Would Not pick up calls, supplied with non BT plug and Non UK power supply. Return very difficult as return is to USA requiring complex customs declarations etc. Rating should actually be -10
