These are far superior quality to the cheap & flimsy 4” hard rubber wheels that came on our 3-tier rolling wire mesh cart. These even come with wrenches to tighten into the cart leg bottom threads. Very pleased!!

These wheels were so easy to install. Really great they have the brakes. My husband attached them to my raised planters. So very easy to move them around the property if needed. They roll very smooth and perform as should. The size is just right too for the height of the raised gardens. These wheels are so versatile. We definitely will prefer this brand again if we need them.

Wheels are nice. Brakes are solid and easy to engage and disengage. The wheels came with a decently nice two sided wrench, 13 and 15mm, which is much nicer than those flat pressed steel things these usually come with. Problem is, it doesn’t fit the nuts on the wheels… those require a 16mm or 5/8” wrench. Keep that in mind just in case your set also comes with an insufficient wrench

I have now purchased 4 sets for installing on wire shelf units (use with a fender washer). The shelf units roll much easier than the ones with casters supplied by the large, orange, big-box store. These casters also have a higher weight rating and are a few less $$. Have had zero problems.When installing these, a thinner wrench would be great for tightening the caster to the wire shelving unit. I plan to grind down the thickness of the16mm wrench it came with so that it can be tightened another quarter turn on future units.

I removed the rubber pads and replaced them with four locking swivel casters so that the generator could easily be moved by one person when dealing with the aftermath of a hurricane. Previously, two people were required to move the generator. The generator stays in place when all 4 wheels are locked but moves easily when they are unlocked. I put one washer between the base of the generator and each of the casters to provide clearance for my open end wrenches during the installation.

I have many sets of this brand of castors in my shop, identical castors, but normally I use the plate mount. This project required the insert and screw/bolt method to mount. The inserts are cheap soft metal, and the first one broke less than half way in. (Medium hardness, Yellow Birch) I used higher quality inserts from my own shop and the castors mounted properly and work as well as all the other sets I have. This set comes with the large Allen Key/Tool to use the inserts, they just need to include high quality inserts to match the quality of the castor. I would buy again, but would use my own inserts.

The threaded bolt at the top was a little shorter than I thought, I managed to make it work anyway. The wheels are great.

Application - Chrome Wire Shelving Unit / 48 x 18 x 72 / 6 Shelves / 3" rubber wheelsMoving the unit loaded to approx. 100 lb, across smooth interior floors and concrete sidewalk with expansion joints. I purchased the 5" DICASAL Casters in hopes that they would move more easily across concrete expansion joints.The Shelving was rated at 500 lb total capacity, on its OEM rubber wheels.These Dicasal 5" Casters are rated at 500 lb EACH, so loading should not have been an issue.ProsNoneConsThe DICASAL Casters are very cheaply manufactured. Thin housing, loose bearings, flimsy brakes, junk "rubber" on the wheels that wears rapidly when rolled across concrete.When the 5" DICASAL Casters roll across the concrete expansion joints, the 5/8" threaded stem bends easily. 2 of 4 Casters were useless within just 4 trips.The Casters perform as if they were manufactured to be used like toys with no loading on them. This product is not at all suitable for normal use.
