I like this tray. Yes it is foam, but that hasn't been a problem. I like that I can add more colors while diamond painting. My trays fit snug.

I used these trays with rhinestones and it's perfect for keeping the rhinestones right side up instead of upside down which is annoying. If you work with rhinestones you know what I mean. I got so tired of not being able to see what color I'm grabbing. This has solved that problem! Good product for the money.

a fantastic tool for anyone who loves diamond painting or DIY crafts! The 6-slot design helps keep rhinestones and beads neatly organized, making it easier to sort and access colors while working on your project. The tray is sturdy, and the compartments are the perfect size for keeping everything in place without any spills. It’s a must-have for diamond painting enthusiasts or anyone doing beadwork or embroidery. If you enjoy crafts that require precision, this tray will definitely help streamline your process!

This pictures of this diamond painting tray/palette kit in the listing show something white on the bottom, but I’m not sure if that’s a visual anomaly. There’s not anything like that on my set. I wish a little explainer had come with the set so I could understand the intended use. The trays fit in too snuggly to easily pop out and shake, and almost seem to threaten to pop out on their own.The place to hold your containers is too large for my round containers, but fits my little tic-tac box type perfectly. On arrival, the foam smelled a bit like markers from my childhood - a bit fruity smelling, without being specifically identifiable. It aired out after a few days. It’s great for keeping a few colors going and I think would work well for kids, to aid their memory of which drill is in which tray and help contain their mess. It seems more useful for the charm types of dp than the canvas, taking up so much space. The six funnel trays were nice, but need some sort of stopper in this application.I’d probably give it 4 stars in a kid’s department, but 3 for adults.

This kit has multiple adjustable small grids, which are very suitable for storing diamonds of different colors. It also comes with a small spoon and tweezers for easy access. It not only helps me organize diamonds better and reduce waste, but also saves a lot of time. Friends who do diamond painting must get this tool, it is really worth it!

"Diamond Painting Tray" is a purple foam tray with 6 round slots and 6 rectangular slots. The round slots are filled with the same foam as the tray. The filler foam is removeable as a cylinder and / or a rectangle depending on the type of container that the user wants to place in them. The rectangular slots each contain 1 white plastic sorting tray. Each sorting tray has a spout to help facilitate the return of the unused sorted items back into their original container. The sorting trays are also larger than you would normally get in a diamond painting kit, but are otherwise standard.-------------Pros:* It's handy to have extra sorting trays.* I like when the sorting trays have a spout on them like these do, because it makes returning the diamonds to their respective packages so much easier. :)* You can use this for all sorts of projects, not just diamond paintings. It's especially good for any project that has a lot of small parts. :)* The purple foam is smooth and soft to the touch. It really does feel nice. :D* The sorting trays are sturdy enough that I'm not worried about them breaking or deforming.-------------Meh:* No part of the tray or the items within the tray has a cover. The product doesn't claim to have one, either, which is why it's in the "Meh" section instead of the "Con" section, but considering how flimsy the actual product is, they could have at least given us -some- kind of tray security with the product.* The purple tray smells like, well, fresh craft foam. XD LOL That's kind of to be expected, the smell isn't especially strong, and it dissipates at a reasonable enough rate, so whatever. No harm done. :)-------------Cons:* The images on the product page are horribly inaccurate.Only 2 of the 5 product images show that the sorting trays have spouts, and the 3 images that don't have them show the trays as being significantly larger to make up for it.What's more, none of the product images show that the cylinder-shaped holes in the foam tray come filled.Likewise, while they take the time to point out that the bottles in the images aren't included, it's never mentioned that the white stabilizing tray beneath the purple foam tray doesn't come with it either.* The purple foam is dense, but very soft and distorts easily. Be sure to place something solid and stable below the foam tray when carrying it unless you want your diamonds all over the floor.* While most reviewers seem to have trouble getting their white sorting trays to come out, I have trouble keeping mine in! They slip and slide around in their slots, and with nothing to hold them in, they seem more than happy to slide straight out of the front and onto the floor. If you have this problem, too, you might want to put something in front of them in their slot to keep them from falling out, like maybe a line of hardened gel or a bumper dot.-------------Given the above, I, personally, wouldn't order "Diamond Painting Tray" again, even for just $10. I'd look for something that was basically identical, but sturdy and stackable. And if I found something with sorting tray lids, that would be a huge plus! :DOtherwise, I'd just look for small storage containers with lids for the different diamond types and a pack or 2 of extra sorting trays, and leave it at that. The main (purple) tray is only useful if it's stable. If it's not, using it is just taking up a lot of valuable work area space while simultaneously sabotaging yourself and your sorting efforts.I hope that this helps! :D

The material is foam and no where does it say it was; I expected plastic ATLEAST. The trays are small, barely fit into the slots and are made of the cheapest plastic that bends too much! It gets the job done but I won't be using it again.

I was actually looking at a very similar item from another seller when this popped up! This is very much an item for casual diamond painters who don’t need a whole elaborate setup, convenient for doing smaller projects like coasters and minis. To get it out of the way, yes, this is foam and therefore not super sturdy, there’s already some indentations. I would give five stars if there was at least some kind of thin board or cardboard on the bottom to make it more sturdy. You’ll have to be careful storing it if you don’t want it to warp.It was a bit confusing in the listing pictures but the item I received does have trays with spouts which I’m glad to see. These trays are bigger than green freebie trays you get with kits so look at the measurements before ordering, it’s much bigger than you think it is. The other product I was looking was only fit for round bottles according to the reviews, this tray comes with cutouts so you can keep rectangular tic tac style containers secure as well, there’s an adhesive at the bottom of the cutouts if you have a preferred storage system, though I find it works fine without sticking it down, at least at the moment. If you enjoy diamond painting as an occasional hobby then definitely consider this tray!
