If you have the right equipment and a helper, this was a relatively easy install. Took me and my son ~ 3 hours to complete. I took a before and after pictures of the trailer showing the height difference. I gained ~ 5 inches of clearance. I did not notice any handling difference while towing the trailer. Please note: it will require a different hitch height (ball location) ~ 5 inches higher.

I installed this on a cargo trailer that I converted into a camper. It's a must have if you want to install tanks under the trailer . Install is straight forward.

This worked wonders! I had about 1 inch of clearance from my wheel well before on my 2006 starcraft camper. Now I have 5 inches of clearance. This is awesome! No more worrying so much about all those bumps and going on a road to get to the campsite is much easier now! Its a must in my book!

The kit came quickly and was complete. Finish was good. But there were NO direction in the package. I downloaded the instruction sheet from the Dexter website and while accurate it includes absolutely no pictures.I'm an old soldier, I need pictures...Found some by googling and all went well on the install. Gained over 4 inches of ride height.

Put this on my Forrest River wildwood 177bh. Gives it a great stance and looks awesome. Bought it because I have a steep drive way and my sewage pipe would hit. Also like to do a little bit of off grid camping and going places off the beaten trail so needed some more clearance. This gave me plenty of ground clearance about 4.5". Pretty big lift. I have taken it on a couple trips already and it is very sturdy and no issues. Install really wasn't that bad. Things to watch out for are the length of your break lines. Also check out the height of your truck and trailer hitch to make sure they line up well. Very happy with this purchase. Wish I had done it immediately before I broke my dang sewage pipe

Lifted my camper about 7 inches in total, making it work MUCH better with my f350. Prior to this pretty much all of the weight was on the back pair of tires. Not it rides nearly level. You MAY need an extra step when you are done though. Took a couple hours to put on (unfortunately it was about 112 that day we did this). Expect that you are going to need a torch to get the old hardware off, and WATCH YOUR BRAKE WIRES! Also, pay attention to the positioning of the axles. They need to go back on in exactly the same position as they came off (you basically drop the spring mounts, let the axle drop down, then put the springs back on top and fasten it down). It came with everything I needed except a couple small pieces of wire to extend the brake wires on one side. The following weekend, took the camper from Michigan to South Carolina through the mountains, and all worked great! Just take your time, and check online for videos if any questions!!! The axles curve up in the middle, and when you are done, you want to make sure they still curve up!

Used this on a 7' x 18' tandem utility trailer. I had problems with backing the trailer up my driveway as the back of the trailer would drag the ground until the wheels got to the driveway. The factory "inside the spring" axle set up caused the body of the trailer to be close to the ground. I needed to raise the height of my trailer bed. This conversion kit moved the suspension springs on top of the axles instead of the axle running "inside" the spring. Putting the springs on top of the axles gave me the height I needed, so no more dragging my frame on uneven terrain. Additionally, I used the Dexter K7138400 Conversion Kit in combination with a MOR/ryde UO12021 Heavy Duty Shackle Kit set-up. This MOR/ryde set up is AWESOME. All the bushings are brass and not plastic. All the metal components are thick and strong. The bolts are "wet" which means they have a grease fitting that allows me to grease EVERY moving part. SIMPLY BRILLIANT. The other benefit is that the suspension system is SO quiet that I don't hear a noise when pulling over rough ground. GREAT PRODUCT! One point to make is that the instructions recommend that you tack weld their spring support bracket to your axle. I did not do it initially as I did not have access to a welder during the install. I used the trailer once and double checked the set up after the pull and I DID have one of the brackets slip to one side. I disassembled and put it back in place and then welded the bracket to my frame. MAKE SURE YOU TACK THAT BRACKET TO YOUR AXLES.
