I have been a DeWalt tool user for years, and this one doesn’t disappoint. Made very easy work for me removing ceramic tile from a basement floor!! Also the hammer drill feature on this tool, drills without much effort. Usually I use battery operated tools but I’m happy with this one.

I bought this SDS drill to replace a Bosch Bulldog drill that had burned up. This drill is superior to the Bulldog in that it drills faster and has less vibration when drilling concrete. I really liked the Bosch but this drill is hands down better. I have used Dewalt tools for 25+ years and have never been disappointed.

When the time came to break up some cement in the back of my house, I knew I wanted to get a DeWalt. DeWalt has been my "go to" brand for high quality tools. This rotary hammer drill made short work of my cement demolition job.

This SDS-plus drill is more user friendly (and expensive) than the DeWalt DW511 drill. It claims to have "active" vibration control, which suggests it's dampened by more than passive springs. It drills considerably faster than the DW511, and doesn't shake the heck out of your arms and wrists like its lesser cousin. The bit jumped around when I first started drilling through concrete, so it might be better to start the hole without the hammer turned on.

Very glad my 30 year old Dewalt hammer drill finally gave up while drilling 3/4" holes in concrete slab. This one eleiminates almost all vibrations to my wrist and the extra 3 amps of power make quick work of what was a pita step in my project.

Bought this tool to take up ceramic floor tile and it really impressed. It took me longer to get the underlay up than it did to remove the tile. I started using a hammer and chisel and after 20 minutes and only removing a small amount, I bought this and wow, in 2 minutes I had the same amount up. Crazy difference in the amount of time. Would but it again in a second. I also like the fact that I can use it as a hammer drill and didn't realize all this time that my actual hammer drill was the wrong tool to use on concrete so I have 2 tools in one!

I chose to purchase this Dewalt over a Bosch due primarily to price. From a sheer cost standpoint, this drill will do everything you want it to and more.I really like the SDS chuck (Slotted Drive System) and it works better than the keyed, or keyless, chucks on other hammer drills. instead of constantly stopping to re-tighten the chuck because a bit fell out, the SDS bits just click into place and stays there.I was looking for a more comfortable hammer drill to remove an entire house of brick. Since I wouldn't be the only one utilizing this tool on this project, the weight and vibration dampening were all considerations. Once the project got underway, the power of this drill took over. The weight is well distributed and the adjustable handle can be quickly moved into different positions to accommodate odd angles. The shocks take out a lot of the vibration so it is less tiring to use this drill for longer periods of time. The only negative I have about this drill, and hence the 4 star rating, is that this drill gets very hot and gets hot very quickly. The housing gets so hot that it cannot be touched. The handles stay cool and I have not noticed any power dissipation associated with the heat. The drill still continues to work and I have run the drill for hours on end - just can't put the drill near anything flammable when you need a break. I read a lot of reviews prior to make this purchase and did not see any reference to the heat. The heat seems to stay in the drill for 15 minutes or more after last use.Overall, this is a solid drill and the value is definitely there. If I had to do it over again, I would still make the same purchase and recommend it - just be aware that it may run a little hot.
