You really need this kind of battery to run tools that take a lot of energy

This battery is heavy, it charged right up and was ready to use. Helped extend the life of my leaf blower. I’m very thankful for this product. Good price.

I reported issue to Dewalt on Sep 18 (Amazon merely adds link to Dewalt customer support). Would appreciate if Amazon could provide a little assist/muscle to resolve this?)- Original Dewalt request began review on Sep 18.- After sending requested info/pictures/invoice to Genelie Basko, I received an email indicating that since you had not heard from me you indicated you planned to close this issue.- I called Juan Valencia and explained my dilemma. He assured me my file was complete and said "Your courtesy order from DEWALT® has been placed" but provided no shipment tracking data.I have a faulty 12 a/h battery DCB612 (no longer charges on either of my Dewalt chargers) that requires replacement asap. Dewalt: Please respond asap with a solution / tracking number. I'm rather annoyed with the poor service at this point and will escalate to the BBB (oh, I see you are NOT BBB accredited?!) or the Maine AG office (fraudulent business practices). Last official response from Dewalt..."case being reviewed, Sep 26".===Received replacement battery 28-Sep after elevating issue to supervisor/manager.

…after moderate to heavy, almost daily use with chain saw, leaf blower, hammer drill, grinder, miter saw, this 12 ah battery finally gave up the ghost. That’s longer than I expected but the 6 and 9 ah batteries that I purchased before this one are still going strong. So, I can no longer justify the cost even though I will be switching batteries more often.I will replace it with a 6ah two-pack. Less cost and longer lasting. This has been my experience with other brands as well; the lower ah batteries last significantly longer.I don’t know how true that is for seldomly used batteries.

This is very expensive, but I no longer have to walk back to the house to swap batteries when using the weedwacker or blower. I didnt want to carry extra batteries in a back pack and this was an excellent solution.

A mistake happened and I received only 1 batterie instead of a few more.Reseller validated and resolved the issue in less than 72h. Very efficient and robust packaging.Battery is heavy but not so much. I use them w/ the DCB1800B Flexvolt Portable Power Station which is a nice inverter for my corded tools. I do small jobs w/ no electrical plugs around. Nice trade-off.Will update in a year or two regarding those batteries longevity.Overall, very satisfied.

There are a few battery powered tools in DEWALT's lineup which draw a large amount of current. This greatly decreases the run-time between battery swaps while using the tools. One example is the 120V MAX 12" compound sliding miter saw. That saw is insanely powerful, but it comes at the price of frequent battery swaps compared to other DEWALT tools. The fact that it uses 2 batteries at once to yield 120 Volts, means you need to bring twice as many fully-charged spares along to keep it running non-stop. Well, I can confirm that these batteries make a huge difference. I can now use the saw on and off all day long by installing a pair of these batteries. The 9Ah batteries were pretty good, but these are significantly better. Of course, at this price, they should be. That's the only drawback of picking up some of these batteries. The cost is admittedly nutty, but I must say it was worth it to get 33% more runtime than the 9Ah offered. With the extended run time, you don't need to carry as many batteries along, either. Amazingly, the quick charger seems like it can charge a set of these in about the same time it charged the 9Ah batteries. Logic tells me that couldn't possibly be true, and perhaps I'm wrong, but it sure seems like it. If you are sitting there considering these batteries because the 9Ah batteries just aren't big enough to get you through a day, you should just click "Buy." Based on my own experience, you won't regret it one bit. Thanks DEWALT!

I have a pretty good assortment of Dewalt gear. Having said this, depending on what I am doing the batteries need frequent charging. This is a good long-life battery but be mindful of what you put it in. If you are using this with an impact driver, it will get VERY heavy. I tend to use this in a floor light or a heavier piece of equipment which I need the battery power/life for, not on the lighter tools which I am holding above my head all day.
