This DEWALT drywall screw gun is a beast! It's powerful enough to zip through drywall like butter, but still has enough control for precise work. The variable speed is super handy, and the reversible function makes it easy to remove screws if needed. It's a bit heavy, but the build quality feels incredibly solid. Definitely a worthwhile investment for any serious DIYer or professional.

Purchased three of these after a mix of some older models and brands gave up. These are not drywall screw guns. They are specifically engineered for high torque applications not speed driving. We use these to install mechanically fastened single ply roof systems. Driving #14 coarse thread screws through gypsum fire board and rigid insulation into wood sheathing and heavy gauge metal decking. They perform well with ample power for this application. The only downside is the versaclutch is not a intuitive feature if you do not read the instructions. Most people will have no idea what it is and what benefits it provides. It does work good once you learn how to use it. One of the bit retaining balls was destroyed by an employee who didn't know how to properly change the bit out and resorted to pliers and and a hammer to remove the bit.lol. No fault of the tool but it would be nice if the was some sort of engraved icon to ( Pull to release/ insert). An easy fix to replace damaged part anyway if your mechanically inclined. Would recommend these.

After comparing the other major brands I decided on the Dewalt. I do own several Dewalt tools and have always been impressed by their quality and durability but I wanted to see what else was out there. This tool gave the most bang for the buck. I purchased this screw gun to use on a addition to my home since I had 90+ sheets of drywall to put up. This screw gun performed like a champ and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone looking for a great screw gun. Next job for this one will be the composite decking.

I am a Contractor who specializes in Steel Buildings, I have put in millions of Self Drilling Screws into steel with the DW267. The guns are tough and usually break from user error before they burn out. You get a little shock if you use it in the rain, but it gives you a boost :)
