Chews through wood. Had to use a fresh 9ah flexvolt on a Dewalt 445b to get this bit through 2x6 prime. Anything under 9ah caused the e-clutch to engage. Would buy again.

fast delivery. cuts well, but would not recommend. reason being the bit is NOT balanced. may be ok to use in a drill press but not good for hand drill. Also the centrer guide bit is too aggressive ( pulls bit too quickly into the wood).

Worked well - would recommend it - just be careful of the amount of torque produced removing this much material.

This bit worked great for me... I used it to cut holes for plumbing in my garage. It lasted through the entire job, so it was very durable. A word of caution: if you are using it in a powerful drill (which you have to for this kind of bit), make sure that your are braced and holding it securely... if the bit catches, it can really hurt your arm. This bit was no worse about catching than any other hole saws that I have used of similar size.

I've used a lot of self bits such as milwaukee, Lenox, and bosch. This one is by far the best one I've had the pleasure working with. I have a heavy use of it since I work in new construction as a plumber.Update since: still a good bit but the fact that the price went up from 27 to 44 is a hard no for me now.

This is a great bit for drilling large holes in 2x4's, drywall and wooden planks. I bought this bit to drill large diameter holes into dead wood stumps and knots. This bit did not fare well in the tough world of drilling in a knot. I couldn't get it to bore in more than a quarter of an inch deep. This is no knock on the bit. I was trying to use it for an application that it was not intended for. I was hoping it would work and save me a lot of time. Hogging out a 2-9/16 inch hole in a tough knot is not easy. It takes drilling a lot of bore holes with a 5/16 inch bit and then hogging out the residue with a mallet and chisel. This process takes most of the day. I'll keep searching. Maby someday I will find a bit that can do the job.

Drilled through some pretty thick stuff easily and quickly. Only complaint is a bit like this should be able to handle some abuse of running into nails. After drilling through about a foot of lumber, I hit some nails. Bit still drills through wood but not as easily as it did prior to hit the nails.
