What can you say... Dewalt rules. This more compact model is easy to use. The batteries are easy to add and remove. Work light is much brighter too. It fits better in my hand. Trigger control of the variable speed is better too.

This replaced a Rockwell 20v drill/driver that I really liked. This one works better all the way around. The clutch is far better, smoother with real range. The light is bright enough to really be useful. Plenty of power for most jobs short of using a 1/2 inch plug in drill. I don't think that it would handle a 4 inch hole saw except on low speed but I haven't tested it that hard. The compact form is really nice for getting into tighter spaces and it's not terribly heavy. The batteries last a surprisingly long time, even in cold weather. This is a far better tool than the Rockwell was (no longer available) and worth every penny.

This was a Mothers' Day gift to my wife (at her request). I have used DeWalt tools for many years and have found them reliable. The 2amp battery works through most jobs. It is really nice to have a second battery charged and ready to go when the first battery dies. Lithium batteries are lighter and seem to work better than the NiCad batteries -- longer life and easy re-charging. Over 3 years of use on these and other 2ah batteries they have not failed. You may need higher capacity (like 3-4-5ah batteries) if the jobs are long and intense.cC

Great purchase. Needed a new one and they just happen to have this one on sale so I went for it. I have been using it for a month or so now and it is running strong. I like that you can dim the light on the drill or turn it off. Sometimes you need less light to keep reflection down nice to be able to dim it and or turn it off. The power is definitely there. Would absolutely buy it again.

Output is 110 volts, which is not suitable for Saudi Arabia, although I ordered the product from Amazon Saudi Arabia!, also the socket is shape of ( II ) (American) and does not suit the needs of Saudi Arabia.
