We have an acre of bushes, plants and trees in a planned gardened. This allows us to do significant pruning without wearing out the muscles in your hand. Greatest tool known to man! This thing cuts. Quick, easy cut on up to about 1 inch branches time after time. Will go through a bit larger branches but may take 2-3 cuts. No significant reset time between cuts. Literally 100's of cuts on one battery change. In addition to pruning have used this tool to cut up long, mostly mesquite and mulberry branches, into shorted pieces to fit into a wheely recycle bin.

The Dewalt 20V branch cutter is a great tool to have. I trimmed my fruit trees and roses in no time compared to when I was using a looper and hand trimmers. It is surprising the diameter of branch this will cut in one motion. The one down side might be the weight, but I think that is to be expected. I think the balance corrects the weight issue. I really liked the way his cut everything with speed and ease. I should have bought this years ago.

Recommended by a friend, one of us didn't think we needed a power pruner. It was prchased knowing it could be returned if in fact we didn't like it. However, on the first day's use (about a half hour in the yard edges and garden trees) it was apparent that this was destined to be one of our favorite yard tools! Absolutely better that manual pruners as there is pleanty of power and less effort so, longer pruning sessions. There is an ingenious safety triggering system but it's not for fast, careless use. I imagine that someone, somewhere, will find that it cuts fingers clean off so, mind the tool as you should. I would recommend this power pruner for the serious grounds keeper. And, get a second battery for all day pruning.

I have acres of Broom ( an invasive species in the Pacific Northwest). I was a little undecided about a purchase of this loper when I first saw this item on Amazon. But, after wearing out my shoulders using large two-handled lopers on the Broom, I decided to try the De Walt hand loper.It arrived in typical Amazon hypersonic time. The battery and charger have to be purchased separately - remember that.The blade is sharp, the unit is not very heavy for one-handed use and has a unique safety trigger is built into the handle. It only took an hour to charge, and I went to the Broom field. The blades are removable with a supplied integral Allen key for replacement.I could cut 1.5" Broom stalks with ease and with two or three cuts, 2" thick ones. The blade is quick and cuts the Broom everything- Broom, Blackberry, thistle, misc bushes- with almost no effort. The gearing isincredible. I spent at least 1.5 hours cutting and still had the power to cut, which amazed me.It is easy to handle, designed and built to keep fingers away from the blades, not unduly heavy and performs as described. A great addition for any gardener or landscaper!
