Over 2 years later, it's still doing the job. For the price, you can't beat it. It was easy to assemble; it's sturdy and great looking. I couldn't be happier.

This product looks decent, but is extremely low quality. The boards are very thin so the screws to put everything together are very short almost impossible to hold onto when putting it together. The drawers top two drawer slides are flimsy and do not easily slide in and out. The bottom drawer has a much better slide and works well. However with the screws being so short and the thin board construction I do fear it will not hold the weight if I fill it with files. I guess only time will tell

The directions for this could have been described better. It was nice to have extras of all hardware, except all of them were in the same bag, i.e. if you needed ten #6 screws, it gave you fifteen in one packet. I would have preferred extras to be packaged separately. Now I'm left scratching my head wondering if I missed something. The file cabanite drawer tracks were an absolute nightmare to put onto the drawer. The small tracks that the brackets where the tracks are supposed to slide into and then be screwed to the drawer were not milled correctly, so the tracks would not slide into the groove.I have an angled wood file and was able to make the tracks wider for the brackets to slide in, but that wasn't enough. I ended up using a small chisle and hammer to notch out the track to make it wider. What should have taken about 30 mins to put it all together ended up taking almost 2hrs with all the messing around with the drawer and figuring out what the directions were trying to instruct you to do. The partical board is not sturdy at all. It crumbled in places just touching it.This is absolutely not worth the money.

I have a desk shell, meaning there are no drawers. This fits perfectly underneath. I wouldn't necessarily recommend it for heavy filing or rough handling, but it works great for me. Assembly was a little challenging, but isn't everything these days? The bottom file drawer has it's own guidewheel (as shown in the picture), which doesn't allow the drawer to sag and assists in pulling the drawer out and pushing it back in. The bottom drawer also accommodates either legal size or letter size hanging file folders. The only inconvenience is that the top two drawers do not have dividers.

The item is a little darker in color than what is showing on Amazon if you are trying to match it with other furniture. The cabinet is very sturdy & well built & works well. I would certainly buy it again.

I was looking for a wooden under-desk cabinet with drawers. Solid wood options turned out to be crazy expensive ($300 at a minimum). This plastic-laminate-covered particleboard cabinet for around $95 was a great option. As other reviews have noted, the construction does take a couple of hours. I disagree with the comments about the instructions being confusing. I found the graphics-based guidance to be extremely clear. The parts are all labeled with stickers that match the drawings. All the hardware comes in labeled plastic bags (with extras of each type of screw, dowel, etc., in case you drop one and can't find it, as always happens). Once again, the instructions clearly label which type of hardware, and how many of each, to use in each step. I suspect the folks who had trouble with assembly were in a rush. I covered a table with a couple of towels to protect it and the cabinet parts, and laid all the pieces out in numerical order. That let me sit up during the process. If I'd done it on the floor, bending over for a hour or more would have been a backbreaker! Make sure you use a properly sized screwdriver. I used an electric drill with a screw bit, which speeded things up. The kit included a small, cheap screwdriver, that I think would have resulted in some stripped screwheads and a sore wrist. I was careful to screw things slowly and had absolutely no problems with the particleboard or fasteners. The finished product is very sturdy. Everything lined up perfectly.

Instructions are pretty garbage. Not all runners are labeled (the white ones have the part label stamped into them, the black ones don't.Didn't come with the appropriate number of "M" screws so I couldn't finish the last step of reinforcing the backing. The latch lock screws are bad quality. The particle board is garbage and luckily the portion that crumbled apart during assembly isn't visible and doesn't affect structural integrity. The file drawer sticks out more than the other drawers.Finish laminate is paper thin and crumbles around the screws. Cut my finger on it trying to wipe away crumbled bits under the screw.Pilot holes are hilariously shallow. Thankfully you won't run in to problems if the screws for the runners go in at an angle like the instructions claim because you need to put weight into them - the pilot holes are too shallow to get any bite. Not a bad filing cabinet / drawer system if you look past the flaws.
