Not a hard job, goes right in when you remove that rear transmission. Replace your intermediate shaft at the same time. Fit right into 08 chevy HHR. Would buy another if needed. Get all my parts from Detroit Axle. Some of the fastest shipping around, and the parts are decent as well along with fair prices.

I bought this for my 2003 Saturn ion. I was skeptical about it at first because I had never heard of the brand and I don't like aftermarket parts in the first place, however gm discontinued the part so I didn't have much of a choice. I have had it my car for about 3 months now and its. been great. It fit perfectly in my car, it dosent make any weird noises or have any stiff spots. no complaints so far. As I said though, its only been 3 months. who knows how this gear will stand the test of time. The gear I took out of my was was original and had over 200,000 miles on it. If this one even gets half of that I would be very pleased.

This unit was made to tight and steering wheel doesn't line up properly and will not return to center after turning. Could not align because one tie rod was run out to the end of the threads. Very unsafe , Do not recommend at all .This product should have zero stars.
