I received a faulty rack, wouldn't turn right a week after installation. Company sent another rack. Also OK for 2 weeks then same problem. They sent me a third rack which seems OK. But they told me they had to "bend the rules" to send me the third rack since the warrantee only applied to the first rack.... What?? So as far as I understand, this rack has no warrantee which sucks if you ask me. Maybe I misunderstood...but I don't think so. The good news is I got much faster at doing the installation....not really happy. The rep offered me discount parts for a long time which is good, and the possibility of becoming a distributor. I'm 72...not looking to go into business. I have been happy with EVERYTHING ELSE I have purchased from Detroit Axle since I started using them a couple of years ago. One last thing, if replacing a steering rack, DO NOT use Wal Mart Super Tech power steering fluid. It is only designed for topping off low levels, and not for full replacement of all fluid. That may have been part of the issue that did not clear up with full fluid exchange and refill with Prestone premium fluid.

Bought this for my husband to fix up a car for a family friend. He and my brother in law are certified mechanics and do some work through a shop they own on the weekends. They got the part in and realized it was bad the seal or something was leaking(dont ask me the details I justknow the part was bad according to hubby). No big deal we were just going to exchange it for a new part. Ask for an exchange and was only offered a refund if we returned the product okay fine I'll just return it for a refund. We'll then they expected me to pay shipping which by the way was $60 to send back to them so I asked for a prepaid label since it was not my fault they sent a bad part. After 4 days of back and forth they finally agreed to give me a prepaid label sent part back get notification they received it still 10 days later after they got it i had no response so I reach out again and they admit to forgetting to refund me the money and they would authorize the refund. Just get notification they are refunding the money (almost a month after this started) and they charged me a restocking fee for their defective part! What! Would not suggest buying here and we won't be buying anymore parts from here either.
