I bought this rack and pinion for my 06 Silverado back in April. Five months after installing it Iwas having stearing issues and the stearing was really loos. I took it to a shop and they told me it was slipping and needed to be replaced. Seeing that there is a life time warranty, I call Detroit Axel to get it resolved. They then proceeded to tell me that since I didn't return my core that my warranty was void. No where when you purchase it does it say anything about core return, also there is no where in the packaging that you received the product in was instruction to return the core. Usually if you have to return a core there is a core charge that you get back when you return it. No where is there mentioned anything about a core charge. Just a company trying to get out of there obligations. THEY ARE UNTRUSTWORTHY AND DO NOT BACK THERE WARRANTY LIKE THEY CLAME THEY DO! DO NOT TRUST!

Part was shipped fast and fit great. Only issue I would mention is the box sent for the return parts was too small for the broken rack and pinion.

Part fit like OEM and very easy to install the only complaint that I have one of the tie rod ends was missing a cotter pin, and grease nipple

Bought a rebuilt (repainted) rack on Eba% and it blew a seal within a month. Found this shiny new one for cheaper on Amazon and figured it's better than refilling my pwr steering fluid every other day and pulled the trigger. Absolutely surprised when I opened the box. Everything was indeed brand new and quality was probably better than OEM. Removal and installation sucked after just doing everything a month prior, but it fit like a glove and is smooth as butter. Been going for about 4 months on 20x12s with 35 inch mud tires and still good as new. 👍🙂
