This Easel Tray isn't the best quality, but it isn't bad for hobbyists or painters starting out in learning. It's made fine and the plastic appears to be sturdy enough for casual use, but I wouldn't strain it with too much weight. It's also shallower than I expected, so it's best not to use it for anything that might get nudged or roll off. The pegs on the side also aren't particularly large or deep. The tray didn't come with instructions, but I assume these are meant to hold things with loops, but I'm not certain how effective they'll be with their stubby design, nor do they look particularly strong. The tray does attach to my kid's particular easel, which is a telescopic, metal, tripod style, but there's not much flexibility in the placement for anything but that style, and the brackets that come with the tray are round, so I don't think it's designed to be used with anything else. Still, it will work fine while she's learning, which is its purpose.3.5 Stars rounded up because half stars aren't an option.

This is a great idea! Unfortunately, it only works on round-shaft easels, and every single painting easel I have has square, wooden legs, so the fit is pretty awful to be honest. I CAN get it on my French easel, but it doesn't stay put once any real weight it placed on it.
