This is the Graph Ruled version of the notebook, that is very useful in providing structure with the graph ruling. It is limited in use only by ones imagination. It fits snugly in the Midori Notebook Cover which provides some protection.

MD bestellt und knapp 1 Woche später bereits erhalten. Voller Ehrfurcht wurde es von mir ausgepackt. Keinesfalls unangenehm aber doch nennenswert ist der Duft des Buches nach Reis!?!? Durch seine optische "Einfachheit" wirkt es recht edel, wie ich finde. Ich empfehle jedoch den dazugehörigen Umschlag für das Buch. Die Farbe ist schon sehr anfällig für Schmutz. Das creme- gelbliche Papier, mit ganz dezenten, blauen Karo Seiten, weist eine tolle Haptik auf. Ich habe mich kaum getraut, meinen obligatorischen Füller und Stiftetest durchzuführen aber was sein muss, muss sein. Ich bin wirklich sehr begeistert und freue mich auf die Nutzung von diesem Notizbuch.

I found the notebook very easy to crease so that it can lay flat without closing itself. The paper quality is also great; I was worried my fountain pen would bleed through the page, but it's not a problem at all. The grid lines are perfect for a variety of tasks and the overall design and quality of the notebook just rocks!

Una dei migliori prodotti di questo genere che abbia provato. Se in genere preferite della carta più liscia (ad esempio la Clairefontaine) forse non ne sarete entusiasti, questa infatti è piuttosto ruvida (fa suonare il pennino, potremmo dire). Io la apprezzo particolarmente, regge il confronto con la carta Rhodia ed esteticamente è più gradevole. Rilegatura fantastica, è comodo scriverci persino all’inizio (un dramma se siete mancini). La ricomprerò. PS: questo formato è molto tascabile, se cercate più spazio andrei sulla versione A5; vi consiglio anche di non usare pennini oltre l’F, perché in base all’inchiostro potreste trascinare, sbavare ecc…, e dire addio al sogno dell’ordine.

Creamy soft paper with very little texture. This takes Sakura jelly rolls so beautifully, aswell as pencil drawings. The binding is really impressive, I have one that’s been ripped apart at the seams but the binding stays intact. The paper is a bit thin so writing is visible on other side.

Personally, I love Midori Paper. I use fountain pens exclusively and there is no feathering or bleed through on this paper. I get lovely shading on this paper and the soft cream/yellow tint to this paper is nice on the eyes. This paper isn't as smooth as the 52gsm Tomoe River Paper, but I quite like the feedback this paper has with my pens.

I usually buy the stalogy b6 notebooks for my journaling and cut them down to b6 slim but amazon was sold out at the moment so i opted for the md notebooks, ive used them in the past but prefer the white pages on the stalogy as opposed to the creamy color of the md. It takes my fountain pen ink well with little to no shading or feathering (twsbi diamond mini fine nib w/ noodles xfeather)So if you prefer creamy color pages and something a little cheaper than the stalogy i highly recommended the Midori MD line!

I'm an artist and musician, and very serious about my paper and pens. This paper is smooth, pleasant to write on, and motivates me to keep my notes organized in a way that ugly or badly made notebooks don't.These are beautiful, minimal, and functional. The size is especially useful - I used to get the slightly wider one, but I'm finding that I like this because I can slip more than one notebook in a small pouch, and stay organized for meetings with my dissertation advisor and another for teaching assistant commitments.
