Same as Heat Sheath but with the added convenience of a hook & loop closure design along the open edges. Without the need of removing one end of connected wires, cables and hoses, simply wrap Heat Shroud around whatever needs protection and close the edges.

Very nice. Well constructed and versatile. Able to cut it in half and use for the radiator hose. Burned the cut edges and it was tough to do that.....good material....had to use a butane torch which says a lot for the material. Other than being a little expensive, this is a great product.

Had a vapor lock issue with my 55 Chevy, used the wrap to insulate the fuel line, seems to have corrected the vapor lock issue

Bought for my old truck to help with heat soak in summer. It didn’t eliminate the problem (I knew it wouldn’t) but it helps. I’ve used DEI products several times over the years and they never disappoint.

No real surprises here. It does what it says on the tin.Only issue comes when you cut the wrap to size. You quickly notice the stitches that hold the velcro onto the aluminized sleeving coming apart at the cut site, and the velcro coming off. Issue can be easily rectified if you are handy with a needle and thread or smearing some using some hot glue along the edges to keep it from fraying further, with some heat shrink tubing over the edges as a final touch to keep things secure.

I used this to insulate a copper fuel line in a law mower engine configuration to prevent vapor lock. So, far, it has worked perfect! Easy to apply, although, for additional stability, I used some stainless zip ties to make sure it stays put over time.

I was able to cut shroud in half. Did my battery cable around header and my fuel line near header. Works great.

I was having issues with the standard wire loom melting from the turbo and exhaust heat on the passenger side of the engine. For some reason, it never came to my mind that I should install some sort heat protection. After replacing the standard wire loom a few times, I decided to order this sleeve because I didn’t want to cut wires to complete the installation. The Velcro made it pretty easy to “install”, and its holding up really well. It’s installed on an ’18 emissions complaint truck and is a must have being that they run a bit hotter than their pre-emissions counterparts, especially during regens (😑😑😑).

This product works well for its intended use. While the instructions indicate that it can be cut to length, be mindful that the Velcro closure strips are attached with sticking that reminds me of the old Charcoal Briquette Bags; once it starts to unravel, it won't stop. I need to tack both the "now" and "later" lengths so that both are useable. But, if a special length is needed and wrapping a piece that is part of an assembly that cannot be taken apart. this will do it for you.

At first I thought I was paying too much but after using it for 6 months and having all kinds of cables/lines melt that wasn't wrapped makes these invaluable. I have a modified Jeep Wrangler and the new engine/transmission combo really produces some heat. Couple this with raising everything into the body as much I could to gain ground clearance and you get a 600 degree oven. I have my air locker cable, fuel line, emissions lines, and clutch slave cable all wrapped up in the 1 inch sleeve. My transfer case shift cable that has a heat shield from the factory has failed twice and melted the cable. Once I put on the 1/2 inch sleeve from DEI, I haven't had a problem since!
