DESCRIPTION
DERNORD sanitary spools which are made of stainless steel 304 are prefabricated lengths of tubing with Tri Clamp fitting ends added for convenience. When combined with other Tri Clamp fittings, clamps, and gaskets, sanitary spools can build a process line without the need for on-site welding and fabrication, and at a considerable time savings. Tri Clamp spools also have the added benefit of being less permanent than welded tubing, and can be easily disassembled, moved, or reassembled in a different configuration. The versatility and cost savings of prefabricated spool pipe make them a popular solution for piping needs.

As a brewer, I am always on the lookout for equipment such as this. If you need a stainless piping extension, this is your guy! Exactly what I was looking for.

I use this tube in my homebrewing setup to gain some additional height on my pump output. Without it my hoses tend to kink due to the angle at which my connections sit. I used to have to prop the hoses up on a bucket to keep them from bending but the extra foot of pipe from this extension let's me get the clearance I need to connect my recirculation arm to the top of my kettle. I can now use a shorter hose to make closer to a horizontal connection to my recirculation arm, instead of running a silicon hose up the full length of the kettle and making a right turn.Overall I'm very pleased with this tube. Quality is good as far as I can tell and the 1.5" TC clamps fit tightly as expected. Happy to have another connection option in my arsenal, as a homebrewer you never know when something like this will save the brew day.
