Secure, leak free and expensive but exactly what I needed to reroute the ATF lines in the 35 Ford street rod.

This part fits and functions as described. Held pressure exceeded 100psi. Be sure to use a good hose clamp and the yellow plumbers tape.

Used to patch in a new rubber hose on trans cooler line that was cracking and seeping. It got the job done with no leaks. I used Teflon tape on the threads but not sure if that was needed

Worked great. Took my 5/16 line and made it fit 3/8 rubber hose

This fit my factory transmission cooler lines perfectly for my 2005 Chrysler Town & Country. I highly recommend buying a gasket maker to seal the threads, because the transmission fluid leaked through the threads for me until I applied the gasket maker. It would have been nice if this came with an o-ring or gasket to seal the threads.

This is a good quality, solid brass fitting which assembled just as it was supposed to. I bought mine to connect the existing steel 5/16" transmission cooling lines to 3/8" flexible hose when installing a replacement, stand-alone transmission cooler in front of the radiator/condenser. This is not a common size combination, so it was helpful to find it all together here. If you happen to have a well-stocked local hardware store, you should be able to gather all 4 relevant pieces to this kit individually for a substantial savings.TIP 1: use pipe sealant or teflon tape on the portion with NPT threads (where the back of the barb fitting screws onto the compression fitting) but DO NOT use sealant or tape on the compression side of the fitting. I read online and saw in youtube videos MANY cautions about not using teflon tape on compression fittings, but they are talking ONLY about the compression fitting side of this product.TIP 2: use good quality wrenches when installing these. This is brass and brass is soft; if you use ill-fitting tools on it you WILL damage it. Use good flare wrenches (and I seem to recall they were standard, not metric!)
