This completes my set of Denis Wick mouthpieces for trumpet - the 4, and cornet - the heritage, of the same size rim. Personally, I like a rich warm sound. This mouthpiece gives me that sound, as well as the trumpet and cornet mouthpieces. The gold has a softer feel than silver and it’s much easier to care for, as there’s no need to polish. I’ve been playing the Denis Wick mouthpieces for 20+ years. They are the best I’ve found. The 4F exceeded my expectations.
