Reverse gable storage sheds are characterized by the angle of the roof line sloping to the front and back of the building. It is one of the most common roof styles used these days and it is very popular in areas with high quantities of rain and snow, because they allow the water to slide down quickly. This classic design fits into many different environments from small urban backyards to spacious cottage and rural garden. Build this versatile dual purpose shed and enjoy a spacious utility shed for you lawn mowers and garden utensils. Dual doors make this part of the shed perfect for working on larger projects or to drive in a lawn tractor through the 60” wide opening.

Good plans. My only recommendations would be to buy a nail gun and an impact driver to save getting tendinitis in your elbows.

These plans are good to provide an idea and guide for building a shed on your own. But, there are some concerns about some of the construction. The main thing I noticed was the angles provided for the roof trusses do not match those of an 8/12 pitch. They are very close to a 5/12 pitch angle. Which, for me was fine, because I went with a 5/12 pitch which looks good and I felt comfortable installing the shingles without fear of falling from a steep roof angle. I did not like that they do not use bird's mouths for the rafter overhangs. The drawings do not show the walls being tied together using the top wall plate which should overlap your walls at the corner to help tie them all together.I also used T1-11 siding vs the 2 layers (and a lot more work) the plans suggest.

I liked it has all materials and parts measurements accurately pre figured. I just found a misprint mislabeling that is not a show stopper you'll figure it out by deduction. I was able to modify the print to suit my desire without much extra expenditure. It all cost me 1,600.00 including the gravel pad to place the shed.Btw im no carpenter, just an HR guy so I recommend this instructions.

First off the other reviews on here make it sound so easy. Not quite. You need to know how to read the plans. There is a couple of tools I would pick up or borrow that the plans don’t recommend, such as a speed square and some nail guns to speed up the process. Also remember to build a jig for you trusses on the floor of shed to make them all the same. I didn’t stick completely to the plans. First I used t1-11 panels instead of the OSB and siding it called for to save money. Also I went with a bigger window than the plans called for because the one in the plans is a lot smaller than the one in the picture. Hence you see the goofy small window in the previous guys post. I also didn’t go with the windows in the doors to save money. In all, with tool costs and materials I got it done for around $2,000. Still significantly cheaper than having some one else do it. Just know you need some skills because eventually the plans go out the window and it’s up to you to figure it out. Took me about a month between work and rain days. So prepare for a project.

Just got this from Amazon. As a carpenter I can put a shed up with out a print but when you are trying to tell someone how it will look a plan like this is great. I like that it gives a list of materials and all the cutting angles and demensions. Going to build one for myself, my daughter and my neighbor. Can’t see anything missing in the book. Makes building the shed much easier than calculating the material list by hand and all the angles for the roof and plan of attack. Well laid out plan.

The plans are OK, but I'm pretty disappointed in the customer service. I had my plans destroyed in a rain storm today and was denied any sort of replacement (was wanting a digital copy so I could re-print). Customer service indicated that they were printed only. I would assume this is to prevent people distributing them online, but it's still disappointing. Some other comments:- Sheathing on roof is run vertically instead of horizontally. This doesn't give you quite the strength as running horizontally.- Trusses really could be changed out to 2x6s and eliminate the chord. This gives you a nice open roof so you can create a decent loft.- Pitch of roof is an 8/12. I modified this to be a 7/12 as it looks a little better. I'm not so sure the picture is an 8/12.- The walls are extremely high. Not many barns have ~93" high walls. My barn dwarfs all of my neighbors barns.- Individual components (e.g. walls) don't tie the materials to use back to the materials list. When buying all the material in multiple trips it can make things a little confusing.Overall, the plans are pretty clear. It was definitely a huge time saver not having to figure out a bunch of different measurements, materials list, etc. but I think if you were a first time builder you would have some questions at points.
