I am editing this review now that I realize this item needs a 2-1/8 depression (hole), but you can't figure that out from the product description. This item is a nicely finished chunk of brass that was difficult for me to install. I have a door which currently uses such pulls ( 2 inch holes ), and the off-the-shelf flush pulls I got at Home Depot fit those holes nicely, but not this product. It was not at all clear what size drill is needed to install the pull, and anyway it is a difficult task to enlarge a 2-inch hole to 2-1/8 inches. . The dimensions as currently listed for this product make no sense, such as "Top of the depression measures 2-1/16 inches in diameter. Bottom of the depression measures 11/16 inches in diameter" . I don't know what they intended to say i.e. outside diameter? But certainly nothing is 11/16. Why not just specify the size hole that is needed? ( 2-1/8 it turns out )

They are flush enough not to cause the doors to stick and quality of the pulls have stood up to use. Suggest a bit of Gorilla Glue or Liquid Nails to add an extra extra amount of security. The diameter on these pulls are a hair smaller than stander pull holes.

It was fine. The nail was a bit hard to get in oak. I would rather have not had the hole.
