I love to smoke a brisket now and then, and adding lump can be difficult, because you need to lift the grates. These have saved me many a blister. You simply hook the grill grate and lift off, add charcoal, and lift it back on. Well made, and they have a rawhide cord to hang them from the hooks on the grill.

I bought a 22-in cast iron grate for my Weber charcoal grill. I tried to adjust the grate without these at first, but realized I needed something stronger. These work great for being able to lift or rotate a hot grate.
