"Refurbished" Unit arrived packaged well. It was just a PC/server with no peripherals. Connected a keyboard, mouse, and monitor and plugged it into a surge protector and it immediately turned on, which was strange, and the fans were on at maximum, sounding like a jet fighter had just powered up. The power light was flashing orange so let it do its thing for a couple of minutes with no change. None of the peripherals showed any activity. Pressed the power button which went from flashing orange to off, but in no way changed any indication. Pressing the power button again resulted in no change. Tried holding the power button in to force the unit to power off, again with no change. Had to unplug it again to power it down. Repeated this process several times with the same exact results. The "refurbished" unit appears to have been refurbished to function as heavy brick, or perhaps a background noise generator to someone who wants to sleep to the sound of a jet engine. Amazon is sending a replacement so we shall see if the 2nd time is the charm. Buyer beware on this "refurbished" stuff.

I bought this server to start working on some projects for my business. I just didn't want to spend a lot of money on something I didn't know if I wanted permanently and was just dipping my feet into, so I bought this, twice! I bought the one server and it got snagged by FedEx and held in their warehouse with no tracking (all FedEx's fault, not the seller's,) so I had to buy another one. They both came the same day one week after I ordered the second one.They were both packaged really well and came with a mouse and a keyboard. The first one had a packet with the Windows 10 pro number and a nice note from the seller.I got it out and set them up. They booted relatively quickly with no issues. It updated very painlessly and I was able to WSL and Unbuntu installed relatively quickly. Within a few hours, I had a web server set up with no issues or problems.Because I had Amazon refund the money for the first server, which almost never came, I called them back and I decided it was easier and probably to my advantage to just buy their other one. Amazon customer service did this relatively quickly and now I am the proud owner of 2 Dell Inspiron servers.They have been on for over a week now and no loud fans. They still work like a charm and I couldn't be happier with my choice.Before you buy though, keep this in mind. The processors for these servers are NOT upgradeable to Windows 11. For me, this is not an issue.The two hard drives have enough space for lots of web content and a relatively fast.The server is somewhat heavy. I have a hard time with heavy things, but I was able to get it into my upstairs server room with a dolly.The servers DO NOT have Wi-Fi built in, but they do come with a dongle that works well.I just bought the Phillips monitor for these servers as I don't need a gaming monitor for the work I plan to do with them.All-in-all, These servers are worth the price you pay for them, depending on what you need them to do. All I needed was a web server for my business, so it worked out nicely. The customer service on the first one seems to be good, as the guy selling them asks to be emailed before leaving a review. I personally like that, because that means the seller is just as invited in their product as you are.My dog gives it 4 paws out of five. He says they lose one paw because now Mommy is too busy to throw his football. I, on the other hand, give them 5 out of 5 stars and am grateful for sellers like these who offer low-price quality products.

Packaged well and powers up but power supply fan is very noisy as if the fan is hitting something, I guess that is to be expected with a renewed product. Will probably have to replace the power supply soon to ensure it remains reliable. Otherwise it is a clean and powerful system that had the feel of a brand new system, no other issues but only had it for under a week.
