I purchased these casters to install on tubular metal legs on an outside grilling cart. The tube legs that are on the cart have removable ends which I needed to drill holes in.....to allow the threaded ends of these casters to slip into. It was a pretty easy DIY job.The casters work great. I like the rubber wheels and they are perfect for concrete surfaces.For the cost......these are a great buy!!

I purchased these to replace casters on a roll around shop stool. The original casters had 1/4" shaft which attached them to the seat's base. They were cheap falling apart junk. I replace them with these casters which have the 3/8" shaft and nice rubber wheels. It feels sturdier, and rolls very smoothly.

These are great, but they are coated in some kind of very toxic smelling chemical which smells much like the plastic bags that Amazon items are shipped in. That smell really was strong and concerns me, although I’m keeping the wheels since they will be used on shelving in the basement. But I’m sending a big heads up to those who are sensitive to chemicals.

I have some chrome shelves that are approx 3-1/2' tall, and fit under some fixtures in my workshop. The wheels that come with the shelves are 4" diameter and make the shelving too tall to put anything on top of them. These casters replace the larger ones perfectly, and lower the whole shelf unit by almost 2" - which makes it much more useable to me. They thread into the shelving perfectly... the original casters have about a 1-1/2" thread vs. 1" here, but the threaded insert is still completely filled (the old casters stuck through the top by over 1/2") so these will be just as stable. The rubber coating on the wheel lets the wheel roll smoothly.My shelves aren't holding a lot of weight - the weight of the shelves themselves, are easily 80% of the total weight. For that purpose these work fine. If I were putting a lot more weight on it they would not be heavy duty enough... rated 80# per caster so 320# per shelf maximum, but that's ABSOLUTE max. I'd be comfortable at around 200# per set of four, personally.I bought the casters without locks, because my floor is level so the shelving isn't likely to move on its own. But I do want to be able to pull it out for cleaning & for maintenance.

I got these to use as the front wheels on my generator. They fit well and I am pleased so far. Not sure how they will hold up being attached in my ne place but that is what I bought. If they don't hold up it will be my fault. They seem to be pretty sturdy though.

The wheels are awesome to work with when wanting to lock shelving in place so it doesn't move.
