Dual Mono/Stereo Recording

  • This is perfect for when you want to capture an interview with someone but also need to record the sounds of the environment on a separate track that you can use to balance the whole soundscape of the scene.
  • The front capsule’s audio on the left and your AUX audio or the rear capsule’s audio on the right channel of your camera or recorder.

No Battery Required

  • Powered via plug-in power from the camera, so it can be used by connecting the DSLRs without using batteries.
  • The V-Mic D4 DUO runs completely off of the 3V Plug-In Power provided by your camera’s microphone jack. Plus, the 3V Plug-In Power is passed along through the 3.5mm input jack on the D4 DUO, allowing you to use passive TRS lavalier microphones.

AUX 3.5mm Input

The D4 DUO also has a very special feature that exemplifies our company motto of “Do More. Carry Less.” Its 3.5mm AUX input bypasses audio from the rear capsule and sends it to the right channel of your camera - perfect for adding a lav mic.

Compact Design

The D4 DUO weighs only 40 grams (1.4 oz) which makes it one of the lightest compact camera microphones on the market. Now you can add high quality audio to your camera setup without having to weigh it down.

Dual Cardioid Pickup Patterns

  • The microphone features dual cardioid microphone capsules to capture the front and rear sound fields around the camera, allowing it to pick up audio from the camera operator/interviewer/journalist filming the scene.

Muy util si buscas mejorar la calidad de sonido sin tener que llevar baterias extra, funciona muy bien sobre todo en exteriores, y elimina mucho el viento con la cola de gato que tiene dentro

When the switch is flipped to 2 hearts, front sound comes through the left channel and rear sound, the right. When I'm editing, I can raise the subject's voice while she's doing her vlog, no matter which side of the camera she's on. It's been very helpful.

Front and rear mics plus you can add a wireless mic on the second stereo channel? What's not to love. You even get two muffs.Everyone loves two muffs....Seriously though, if you want a great all round mic for ebay, youtube or just vlogging for your friends and family look no further.

Had some mics that were wireless before and every time I talked it came through nasally and really loud. Bought this and the audio comes through clear and appropriate. Very little need to adjust audio in post editing

hard to use as the microphone gets in your face, doesnt sound that good, never really used the direction switch and you must always edit videos to sound good else it goes in 1 ear

La calidad del audio es muy buena para lo que costó y ademas es pequeño y práctico. Es mi micrófono de uso general cuando hago video en mirrorless.

GREAT SOUND, CAPTURES ALMOST EVERYTHING USING ONE OR THE TWO MICS IT HAS, IF YOU TALK TO IT USING IT AT ALMOST 15 CMS, SOUND ITS JUST AMAZING, LOWERING QUALITY AS YOU PUT FURTHER, I USE IT LIKE AT 25 -30 CMS SO IT IS OUT OF SHOT AND STILL CAPTURES A GREAT SOUND.

I use this mic on top of my smartphone for my youtube channel and it serves its purpose. Only thing is that it distorts when I talk at anything less than an arms length away from the mic. Also having a mic on both front and back is unnecessary for what I do; I probably should have gotten a single sided mic. Just a heads-up for anyone shopping for a mic. Other than that, it cancels out wind noise fairly well, and picks up my voice well from over 10 feet away. Would recommend.

On a BMPCC camera is just weak and we all know it. THIS thing lives on my camera for recording scratch audio and also works INCREDIBLY well paired with my iPhone.

It came in fully built but the instructions said to build it which gave me suspicions that it had already been returned. So when I connected it to my camera and it didn't work I wasn't surprised. My camera is a cannon sl3 and i looked up lots of videos to try and fix it but the mic was just broken

I bought this but the Rycote Lyre shockmount that it came with was bent upwards. I tried getting a replacement with amazon and then the shockmount in the replacement in the shockmout was also bent upwards. I contacted Diety customer service and told them about my situation. They just kept telling me to replace it through amazon. I told them I did, there's a defect and I can't just keep ordering replacements. Customer service eventually relented and sent me a D4 because they told me they discontinued the Duo.

It's pricier than similar on camera microphones but it's far more functional. First it has two microphone, but more importantly, you can have a secondary input which I use with my wireless mic. For most parts, I use my wireless as a primary and the shotgun as secondary.Furry windscreens are included but not the tightest fit. Also, the switches and jacks are in between the two windscreens so it's a little difficult to access and easy to bump the windscreen out of place. Not a big deal once you get used to it.Shockmount is a bit flimsy just like the Rode Video Micro which requires attaching the cable to the tightening knob as a second point of contact to keep it from bobbing. Since the Diety D4 is a little longer, it would have been nice had the shockmount itself had two attachment points.Other than these minor issues, I have no complaints. Sounds quality seems comparable to similar mics but to be fair, I mainly rely on it as back up. Perhaps a bit pricey for that purpose but happy with the functionality.

I’m really loving this mic! I edit a YouTube channel where the host is often talking on camera (“selfie” style) then moving behind the camera as he describes work he’s doing on a car. Until we found this mic, moving from in front of the camera to behind the camera was always a challenge because he had to constantly swivel the mic as he talked so it was pointing toward whatever side of the camera he was talking on. It was a pain and it made noise as he swiveled the mic. But because this mic is really TWO mics, there are no more issues of mic placement. The quality is perfect for our situation. Because the mics record on separate left and right channels, there is a bit of audio setup that needs to take place in Premiere Pro to center the left/right channels, but it’s super simple to do and the sound is great. This mic is also good when interviewing a guest on camera while the host is behind the camera. All in all, love this mic!
