Die Messer sind super praktisch um Pampelmuss oder Melone von der Schale zu trennen. Habe gleich 5 Messer bestellt. Es gibt keine besseren zu diesem Zweck.

works very well. nice and sharp. I like the size of both the blade and handle. cuts through peels easily also. tip is nice size because I can just dig out seeds if I need to without mangling the fruit.

Works as well or better than my [apparently] discontinued Wusthof knife for this purpose, just doesn't look nearly as nice and I don't like the materials. Don't like plastic handle and the metal has stamped quality.

I could not believe I was doing it as I shelled out 15 quid for... a grapefruit knife? One breakfast later, I can't believe I lasted this many years without one. Suddenly, everyone at ours love grapefruit, and consumption of said fruit has leaped skyward. Thankfully, the same isn't said of squirted-up juice. This thing cuts nice and clean, every time.

Doesn't work well for the way I've been cutting grapefruit for the last 40 years: halving the gf with a chef's knife, then cutting around the perimeter of each triangular section. Then, a regular teaspoon can be used to lift out each segment, then go back and scrape out the remaining fruit from each triangular hole. This Deglon knife is way too wide to make the turn at each vertex of the triangle, and the bend in the blade is too far up from the point of the blade.I learned that most people use the gf knife to cut all the way around the perimeter of the gf, then go back and cut along the separating membranes to release each triangle of fruit. OK, but then the spoon will leave behind whatever fruit is still attached to those membranes, wasting a good portion of the fruit. And, as another reviewer mentioned, this knife doesn't feel that well-made. Cheap feeling handle, cheap looking ferrule at the base of the blade. It is pretty sharp, though, and it is not made in China.

This is Robert S wife. The knife works well when the grapefruit sections are large and evenly spaced. Not so good on smaller grapefruit sections. I think if the blade were narrower and less curved, it would still work well on large sections and do a better job on the smaller sections.

Appears cheaply made with joint that will hold wash water between blade, ferrule, and handle. Handle had cheap plastic fee to it.

I like this knife for several reasons. First it's longer than my other grapefruit knife so it does better with larger items, like melon (which I use it for more than grapefruit). Second, the blade is nicely rounded (rather than bent at a more defined angle). Finally its handle is NOT wood, so I can toss it in the dishwasher. Oh, and it's nice and sharp so it does the job easily (rather important?). If I need a second grapefruit knife for our camper, this will be the one!

This is my second one, I seemed to have lost the first one and couldn't live without it I love the way it fits my hand, not too big and it does a good job segmenting fruit such as lemon limes and oranges as well as grapefruit.

Certainly there's only so much you can say about a grapefruit knife. I have used a few over the years and the ease with which I am able to separate the fruit from the rind with this one stands out. The knife is sharp enough and angled in such a way that it takes very little effort to work around each individual section. It's dishwasher safe, small, but feels sturdy in the hand. I have no reason to believe I will need a replacement for many years to come. Comes recommended if you need one!

I was surprised it was possible for a grapefruit knife to be markedly better than any I had used before. This one has a thin but strong blade with a serrated edge that cuts through a grapefruit like butter.
