This was suggested by my sons band teacher for his baritone and trombone. It clips right on the bell of the instrument. I did have to purchase extra sheets for it because this doesn’t flip easily to see the back of the pages so he just uses the fronts.

Once I figured out how to get this on the bell of my trombone, I liked it OK. Some instructions would have been helpful. Holds the music at an angle, but I got used to that pretty easy. Good distance for my eyes. Held secure for the whole performance. Only problem is, if you are carrying a lot of music, you have to have a separate sheet for each piece as you can't flip the pages around the way you can on a flip lyre. This can get heavy.

Yes it worked well all though the clip hooks on the top when I in clipped then clipped the didn’t clip well and some sheets came off but soon worked great also if you have a lot of music order more pages

Clamps easily and solidly to the bell of the trombone and holds on securely. Doesn't appear likely to damage the horn or the horn's finish. Music is at a good reading distance. Wire clamp hold the music in place well in the wind. The wire clamp is a bit difficult to operate, it can be difficult to get the sheets to slide under it, especially when you're flipping pages mid-performance.Due to this not being the standard spring clamp lyre, the flip folder essentially becomes one-sided. You lose the ability to turn the folder around to see music that you may have put on the back side of the page. Given the small size of the plastic rings that come on this, the amount of music it can hold is essential about 6 sheets. More than that, and you'll need to replace the rings.Personally, I think I'd rather stick with a standard lyre, just because it's more versatile, but if you're ok with the shortcomings of this lyre, or you have an instrument like a Jiggs pBone that won't accept a standard throat-mount lyre, this is a good option.

This is by far the best lyre I have ever used. It holds all my music and clamps on to my bell. There is also a convenient place to put coordinate sheets. It also hasn't broken yet. I am also able to pull mad bitchez with it.
