This is a high quality banjo for the price, and it comes outta the box all set up. The action is adjusted nicely and needed no attention. The head is very tight so the banjo is loud, but the package includes a mute, along with extra strings and a strap. No flaws anywhere. It comes with a soft case, so you might be shopping for a hard case, up to you.Very happy with this instrument, and Deering is a good brand.

Wow, what a great little banjo. Big beautiful sound in a light package. I have other more expensive banjos costing thousands of dollars and after receiving this one it is my go to for plinking around. Love it !!!
