These really do work to keep wasps from building their nests on our house. They hold up even as they're exposed to spring/summer/fall seasons.

Worked for me. No wasps or yellow jackets fingers crossed it continues.

I was skeptical but these seem to really work. Every once and a while a wasp or yelllow jacket will appear. But they seem to check out the nest and then fly away. My only issue is that I don't understand why the hook to hang is open. They give you a string to loop around this hook at the top. But the hook has an opening so my nest is always falling. Clearly something you can reinforce with tape but annoying.

I had a bad carpenter bee problem. I tried a few things then I saw this. I placed a couple up in the problem area. It seemed not to work at first. After a week or so, no more bees! Yes, these do work!

First of all, these “wasp nests” are fairly attractive; I think you could simply use them as rustic outdoor (patio or porch) decoration with no problem. They are lightweight, easy to assemble, and reasonably priced. So far they have had no effect on our wasps building nests under the eaves of our porches…however, I’ll point out that our wasps had already established their nests before we hung these (which are meant to deter wasps from building in the first place); we were hoping that the resident wasps would leave but they did not. The fact that they were already established may have been part of the problem. Another factor may have been location: we live in the deep South and I think that our wasps build nests entirely different from these “deterrent nests” so have no idea what they are. I’m guessing that these nests are probably the kind found in cooler, more northern regions of the country; wasp nests in the south are very, very small compared to these, with numerous small “pods” where the larvae develop. These are just theories but, whatever the reason, the nests have not worked for us so far. I intend to put them out early next spring before the wasps begin to build to see if that makes the difference. (On the bright side, I don’t think any more wasps have shown up to build nests since hanging these.)

I'll be honest - I was skeptical. But our wasp problem was getting out of hand. We could hardly go out on our deck because the wasps were so bad. We live in the country, so your typical pest control wasn't going to cut it. I figured I'd give these a try - especially based on how many faux nests you get for the money. We put one up on both sides of our house under our deck. While it did take a few weeks, I am happy to say we are now WASP FREE. We had a giant wasp nest in our pine tree next to our house - you could always hear some kind of buzzing - silence now. They were simple to set up, the only potential issue I would say is either make sure they're really tied down or secure the nest to your house, deck, etc with duct tape to keep it in place when windy. We're going to give it a try in our shop where we've also had wasp issues so I will update accordingly after we do that.

Seems as though the wasps who have an established hive on our front porch have not been detoured by these. Perhaps they help with detouring new colonies from establishing, but they haven't helped with the wasps in Missouri.
