This is perhaps the most elegant plant-hanging hook I've used. Usually, they are those annoying ones with the sharp point that you drive in by hand. Some careful thought was put into the look and feel of this product.The product comes ready to go with mounting hardware for different applications. It is very cool that you don't have to buy two or three separate products. The drywall anchors are legit and super tough compared to those flimsy plastic ones.Now, there are two small details I should point out. The first is that the central screw for the hook (which is used to attach it to the base plate, pops out of the top ever so slightly. This means it can't sit perfectly flat against the ceiling. Not terrible, just could be slightly better. Secondly, you really have to crank this screw down tight because otherwise something like a hanging plant might start to unscrew the hook. This is not something you want to have to worry about.All in all I still say this is a nice kit if you want a truly elegant look.

was hoping to hang plants from the porch beams. However - 2 issues1 - My set lacked the mounting screws that are supposed to connect the hook with the base plate prior to mountingso, it's not even possible to install these with the hardware included2 - the mounting screws to attach the base plate to the whatever that are included are stainless finish. I would not consider mounting a decorative BLACK plate to anything with SILVER screws!

The hooks arrived protected in a plastic zipper bag. They are beautiful hooks; the antique brass is a nice shade with antique aging in the crevices. I really like these hooks. They are a pretty descent size and they are super strong. The metal construction is thick and the paint coating is solid. The mounting hard ware they included is excellent. The drywall anchors are made of metal, which is unusual and awesome, most are anchors are plastic. Each hook takes two screws and anchors, so they hold considerably more weight than your standard ceiling hook. The only complaint I have is that I wish the mounting screws were black to match the hardware, but I can live with them being silver. I used one of the hooks to hang a chandelier, and it feels totally solid, and it looks awesome (see photos)! These aren't the cheapest hooks out there, but if you want a super sturdy hook that looks fantastic, these are a great choice!
