DecoPac Cake Board and Box Combo - Single pack of 1 strong round cake drum and a matching white cake box.
Ideal for transporting cakes to parties, birthday's, bake sales, or as take-out boxes in bakeries and diners. Sometimes referred to as a Cake Drum, Cake Plate, or Cake Board, this board is the strongest type of Cake Board. It has a bonded fibre board inner which is covered on the top and sides with a fern textured, silver coloured foil and with white paper on the base. The finished Cake Board is 0.5'' (12mm) thick.
These white boxes are ideal for carrying decorated sponge cakes, desserts, pies, puddings, cheesecakes, layered cakes, and more. They come flat packed to minimise the storage space they take and the box and lid are now packed together in one pack. They're very quick and easy to assemble.

The drum was good, very sturdy and held up the cake well. However, the box was surprisingly shallow and I had to kotch it onto the top of the cake.

This is a nice looking set of cake board & cake box. The cake board is heavy & wrapped in foil, it is well made & sturdy. The cake box is also of good quality; it comes in 2 pieces (both folded flat, to be assembled), the bottom part & the top cover. The measurements are accurate.

The silver plate for this cake stand is very thick and sturdy. It is nicely finished and will make a good (and disposable) presentation. Most cake boards are kind of flimsy, this one is definitely not, it will hold up to even the heaviest of cakes. The box is a standard cake box for transport. Overall, this is a good item to use for a potluck or a gift cake if you don't want to worry about getting your cake keeper and/or cake plate back.

The silver plate for this cake stand is very thick and sturdy. It is nicely finished and will make a good (and disposable) presentation. Most cake boards are kind of flimsy, this one is definitely not, it will hold up to even the heaviest of cakes. The box is a standard cake box for transport. Overall, this is a good item to use for a potluck or a gift cake if you don't want to worry about getting your cake keeper and/or cake plate back.

The cake box worked well today for an 8-inch 3-layer cake that I made and decorated for my mother-in-law's 96th birthday. The box was just barely tall enough for my cake. If my cake had been a little taller (up to about 2 inches taller), I could simply have carefully taped the lid on at a higher point, rather than just setting the lid on top.When assembling the box, leave one side down until you slide the cake carefully in. That is so much easier than trying to lower the cake into the box. To remove the cake, unfasten one side and slide it out.This box is very similar to most cake boxes. The uniqueness of this set is the heavy and attractive cake board that comes with the box. Since the cake board and box are 10 inches, the set is perfect for either an 8 or 9-inch cake. When making the cake, use a regular cake board the size of the cake. Attach a strip of double-sided tape to the 10-inch board and attach the smaller board to it. This looks great and keeps your cake from sliding around in the box. With the fancy cake board included in this set, you really don't need a cake plate.

TLDR: Pros: sturdy, attractive, convenient. Cons: none.This is one of those products that I didn't even know I needed until it popped up as a potential Vine review item. We were planning to go to an after Christmas party in a few days and I knew that my daughter was going to make a 3 layer chocolate silk cake to bring as dessert when I saw this was available. This was the perfect fit for an attractive, functional, disposable cake transporter. You can see from the pictures that it has a decorative foil wrapped base. What really impressed me was the attention to detail; even the bottom of the cardboard disk is covered (as you can see in the middle picture). It arrives as a flat and compact square. It has a box bottom and top as well as the cake platter. It's high enough for a triple layer cake. It's easiest to fold the box up around the cake rather than to lower the completed cake down into the box. It feels very classy to bring dessert in a box like this and there are no dirty dishes to take home. I highly recommend it.

The board is high quality and dense cardboard that could definitely be re-used several times as long as you can wipe it down thoroughly between uses. It is heavier than a standard cake round like this one that I get at my local bakery shop for sure. The box is pretty standard, nothing to write home about. I haven't used a box like this before where the lid is an entirely separate piece from the base but it works just the same as a flip top. I wouldn't say one is better than the other. The weight of the box is standard light cardboard like you would find in any other cake box. This set will get the job done if you want a quality cake round and perfectly sized box to go with it!
