Bought this to use on my dog but had to return it due to the very strong smell. Size was nice for small hands. Rubber rigid… not flexible.

I got this for my Doberman Pinscher. This brush is fantastic for short single coated dogs it gets TONS of hair out without causing discomfort to their skin. I rub the brush in a circular motion(Just like with a horse) to loosen up all the hair then brush with his coat to wipe it off. Works very well during bath time too. Great for the summer when he's shedding more due to the fluctuation of heat. The rubber is firm enough to really get at the hair but soft enough that even my boy seems to enjoy getting brushed which is saying something because he usually tries to run away from being brushed as I think most brushes designed for dogs are too aggressive on his skin due to him not having a thick layer of fur.If I had to say one thing though, I have very tiny hands and the strap/handle fits quite snuggly so for anyone who has bigger hands it may not be that comfortable to use. It's perfect for me though, so happy I found this!I didn't notice any particularly strong odor from this brush. I suppose if I tried to sniff it would smell like rubber but it doesn't emanate for me like what a lot of reviews are saying.

Works very well. It is a bit small, but I have fairly big hands to be fair. It was a gift for my sister who has somewhat smaller hands and she likes it.

Works fantastic but it smells bad like a new car tire and black came off on my white English Bulldog. Came off in a bath with whitening shampoo. Got rid of the shedding loose hair great.

Works well on dogs that shed a lot. But the brush smells like a discount tire store and is too strong an odor and must be stored in garage.

It smells really bad and it is a MINI comb. I prefer to buy a comb at a tack shop. But it is doing its job, but I won't buy it again.

I bought this for my short haired dog. I don't have a horse, but was recommended to buy a horse comb to brush my dog. This does not remove any hair from my dog, and I still have a shedding problem. It says its for a horse, so maybe it works better on a horse, I was just taking my veterinarians advice. If you are looking for something for a short haired dog, I recommend furminator.

Had a brush like this for my horse when I was a kid and it worked great but now that they're made in China the design is a little less perfect (teeth are too short and rectangular) and the rubber really really smells. Buy American if even possible anymore

I bought this to use on my horse, and it's a bit small to comfortably fit my hand in. Otherwise it works fine.
