Esthétique mais pas de mode « moyenne » Ou rapide, lent, médium … donc pas trop utile, ça oscille énormément

The first one they shipped me was glitchy. It kept showing weird measurements, for example flipping to 130DB in a completely quiet environment. It was really distracting and completely unusable. I tried recalibrating it several times per the instructions. No luck. But I liked the large numbers so much (really easy to read from across the room) that I decided to give it another chance and exchanged it. The second one worked perfectly right out of the box with no issues.I use it in my office when I'm on Zoom calls for work. I tend to speak loudly at the computer and this helps me moderate my volume so the rest of the household doesn't get frustrated. The display includes a color coding of green/red/yellow emojis, so it's easy to tell when your volume exceeds the acceptable threshold.Highly recommended!

it works fine . I have multiple stereo systems, so i gives me the decibel level each system puts out at different volume levels. the battery takes 24 hours to charge , but it will work while charging Which is annoying when i want to move it around . I do like the temp and humidity readouts. There is a formula to determine the watts output of an amplifier. it is complicated and i do not understand it. but 60 DB is 3 watts.

I purchased this item to monitor noise level and also humidity. I am a guitarist, so when I practice, I want to be sure I stay under 80db as to not disturb my neighbors. Secondarily, as I have several expensive guitars, humidity control is extremely important. The humidity on this device reads about about 10-12% below the actual humidity level. Disappointingly, that functional part of it is unusable for me. The Temperature readout is accurate. I have nothing to compare the DB readout with, so I am assuming it is accurate. The large color display is awesome. I wish it had a calibration mode for the humidity, like my other digital humidity displays.I have 2 other digital humidity display and one non-electric humidity display, and all 3 of those read exactly the same. For those who don't care about the humidity function, I would recommend this display.

Mix an Italian family with an Irish one and there are bound to be lots of talking over one another. Throw in sports on the TV and it gets even louder. I finally broke down and bought this for my mom for Christmas. We just celebrated yesterday and it was startling to see how much quieter everyone got as soon as they saw how loud they were getting. We’ve never had a more peaceful, quiet, but enjoyable family gathering.

It didn't calibrate no matter how much I tried. It doesn't beep or make noise when the sound is too loud so unless you are looking at it, you won't know which isn't helpful for a classroom. It turns off on it's own after a few minutes which also isn't helpful because I need it to be on most of the day. I do not recommend this for teachers.

Looks brilliant and fun to watch if that's your thing but some of the measurements are a bit mad. You can calibrate it somewhere quiet but it still said my bedroom was 98odd dBA at 4am today so either I was missing something dramatic going on under my nose or it's not the most accurate device in the world. The fast response mode is a bit less extreme but is a bit too busy to have on and not distract people.I think it will grow on me more

UPDATE: After I left my original bad review, the company reached out to me and let me know that this was an exception. The devices were shipped without being calibrated. They replaced the ones that didn't work AND -- the best part -- the new devices came with recalibration instructions. Justifiably, they asked me to update my review, and I've got to say these are a lot of fun and work perfectly. I compared them to my Apple Watch noise monitoring and they're right on. I would definitely recommend purchasing these! Large displays, very bright, and very fast updates. We love them!

I bought this to put on the wall behind my sons gaming computer. He gets playing games with a headset on and gradually gets louder to the point of yelling while playing online. I set it up so that all he sees are the faces. He knows that green or yellow are ok but if they go orange or red he is too loud. We used to get into arguments because he would get upset when he was told he was being too loud. Since i put this in place there hasn't been a single argument and we aren't being disturbed.

Overall I like this for my classroom, I think it will help me be more consistent in enforcing volume and keep it very objective. Having said that, I do feel the light codes are a bit too stringent, there is enough ambient noise in the room that an even near silent room sometimes gets the first warning light (if there is a way to reprogram, I haven’t found it). It is also so sensitive that the reading jumps around second by second which can be a distraction. Still, all in all it seems to be a decent quality product for the price and I don’t regret buying it.
