Seems good quality Bought one for both my 96 xj 4.0 ax15 and my 98 4.0 aw4. Noticed a difference in the drivability of the xj too

I replaced my exhaust on my 98 xj and needed to replace the exhaust mount which sits on top of the transmission mount. I figured since I already needed to remove the transmission cross member I'd replace the transmission mount which was getting somewhat worn. Two weeks after I replaced the mount with this part, it was in worse condition than the original which was 20 years old. There were vibrations like crazy. Under acceleration the transmission would actually bounce up and down. This mount couldn't even take the weight of the transmission and was completely flattened (the metal piece on top contacted the one on bottom). The rubber part of the mount began to be un-laminated from the metal pieces. Probably after not too long it would have been two pieces. After removing, I was able to deform the part by hand simply by squeezing it, no wonder it wouldn't take the torque from the transmission. I should have taken pics, but I was too eager to throw it in the garbage where it belongs.Long story short, do not buy. It will only work for a week or two. Spend the extra money and buy a mopar mount.

Ever sense install, the muffler rattles on the cross member, may want to buy a new mount or insulator for the muffler. I replaced it to try and quiet the drive train, now I can barely stand to drive it with the constant banging with every bump. Not the manufacturers fault, but it is something I wish I was warned about

The Jeep Cherokee 6-bangers seem to eat transmission mounts like other cars go through air filters. The original Mopar mounts were usually sourced out of Canada, Seems that Chrysler has lost interest in manufacture or jobbing out these parts to partners, so third party suppliers may be the only choice left. The mount I received arrived in a pretty purple DEA Products recycled corrugated carton, and the threaded bolts were politely encased in plastic sleeves so they wouldn't destroy the carton. I believe it will fit the car okay, even though the manufacturing appears somewhat sloppy: The mount is a tad shorter than a factory unit, saving the Indian manufacturer about a half ounce of recycled steel per unit. The top section holding the bolts is canted at the correct approximate angle, but the assembly is skewed slightly so that it is not parallel to the base. The rubber section seems to be inconsistently firm, and may not be fully coated to resist oil/grease/tranny fluids. But due to the low, low price, I'm willing to test this product in my car. I figure if it can fit in spite of the crappy quality control, maybe I can get at least 10k miles on it before she blows! Quality craftsmanship is so hard to find these days....
