I have an Alesis Surge with an added eDRUMin and thought the Red Shot would work with both. It didn’t work with the Alesis Surge module. And if it can? It isn’t right out of the box. But did work with eDRUMin module using setting for Roland’s acoustic drum trigger. However I have the sensitivity/gain setting maxed out and it still doesn’t register light bass drum hits. Keep in mind that my child’s 16” bass drum has a hoop less wide than say my acoustic 20” bass drum with a real drumhead. Not mesh. . I had to bend metal on DDrum Red Shot to even fit. And I’m trying adjustments I swear! And maybe with a mesh head it’ll trigger better. But I thought these were made for acoustic to electric (A2E) conversions. I’ll try mesh. But not 100% happy with results thus far. I will update review later if I work this out. Some settings adjustments is maybe all that’s needed. So I ain’t knocking the product yet. Edrums are fickle.

I think it is worth it. I have it attached to a 16 inch bass drum from a Jr kit. With a mesh head and I play double bass on it. I like it.

This trigger was flawless! it never missed a hit and never double triggered! But sadly, after about 2 years of use it stopped working. No physical damage was inflicted, it just quit working.So yeah. Works great but wont last forever.

This was the biggest waste of money I've ever spent. The trigger didn't work unless you tap on the front of the blue foam piece (not the side that contacts the drum head)and even then it only triggered when it wanted to. Also the wires became disconnected about a month after I got it, now I understand why it only cost $25.00

Unfortunately this trigger did not fit my Tama StarClassic drum set and I had to improvise to adapt it. Nothing wrong with the actual trigger however.
