This year I purchased two of these puzzle boxes as part of a Christmas gift for two separate family members. It took them awhile to figure out how to open them (I didn’t wrap them in the box with the instructions on it) but had taken a picture for reference if needed later to open them. They were a hit - one I hid cash inside and the other an Amazon gift card.

I was going to use this as a prank gift for my future in-laws. I tested this out on my fiance (who I consider very smart lol) and he figured it out within two minutes. It’s actually a cute box and can hold some keepsakes, but not quite the difficulty level I was looking for.
